Did you know that sonic and tails are actually fighting fake knuckles cause metal sonic copied knuckles' data (If you've played the game as Knuckles Chuckles). Fans create perfect Sonic games, but they don't have any creativity when creating ending sequences. Even Sonic mania has a bad and short ending that doesn't give any feeling. Sonic 2 is a great example of an ending sequence
sonic 2s ending sequence is 5 pngs and the good ending is more lame that the bad ending, because in the bad ending tails actually saves sonic, in the good ending sonic just sorta flies and foreshadows how tails will be in future games; useless.
The ONLY other thing this remake could have done to make it seem more "Genesis-y" would be to recreate all the act 2 boss badniks as eggman ships/robots. Otherwise, this remake is perfect.

the idea of wood buttarundorf its too good, in triple trouble 8 bits that part of escaping the stage it was only falling parts of the robot in the same scenario of wood buttarundorf but in the 16 bits version its a escape of the level while the pieces of buttarundorf falls and try to kill us
Fun Fact: Metal Sonic is actually stylized to look like Sonic. And he comes from Sonic CD, not Triple Trouble. If you say I stated the obvious, you have no life.
Nack still technically is one of his official names, it’s a bit of an Eggman/Robotnik situation where his name was changed to Nack the Weasel when originally bringing him to the west (partially because they didn’t want a reference to firearms in his name), but later doing away with the alternate name in favor of Fang the Sniper, what he was originally called.
Honestly, I disliked the final boss design as it felt so underwhelming. I did not know that it was based on a design by Sega itself. I am still not a fan of it but I don't hold that against the developers and I praise their use of an abandoned design for a Sonic game. Maybe some what fan fic-ish, but hey, they were fans who were making this game.
