Sonic Youth - "Unmade Bed" 

I once saw Kim and Thurston buy a Christmas tree in Santa Monica, CA. I think it was around 2004.

They married straight-forward pop structures with total dissonance beautifully in this era. Love me some EVOL, Daydream, Goo, etc. but I'm really feeling Sonic Nurse and Rather Ripped more as of late.

This album csme out a few days before my 14th birthday then 2 years later rather ripped came out on my 16th birthday June 13..those have become my 2 favorite Sonic Youth Albums Ever! Love this band forever!

Not sure why I like these guys but I always have. Love the noise and the weirdness.

Conan always had rad music guests.

I saw them when they were touring this album. I jumped up on stage and shook Kims hand after the encore like a geek fan. They put on an amazing show

I’ve been trying to put my finger on when things started to go extra sideways in the world (politically, David Bowie and Prince gone, and the darkness that seems to have kinda descended over everything). I think we slipped into an alternate universe when K & T divorced.
