Zero-point, which lies around 25 kilometres from Sonmarg / Sonamarg, is where Ladakh officially begins on the road connecting Srinagar with Leh. Don't be fooled; the location shown by Google Maps really links to a site 6 kilometres away. Even though it may seem crazy to go so far to view a famous location, consider my advice and make the trip. Without it, your journey won't be complete. At a little town named Gumri, where you turn around, your journey comes to an end.
How to reach zero point:
To go to zero point, you'll need to take a local cab, which would cost you between 4000 -5500 INR roundtrip. Along the journey, this will also feature the Zoji La Pass and Baltal View
