In Sonnet 43, Barrett Browning explores the many ways the speaker (thought to be herself) loves the addressee of the poem (assumed to be her husband Robert). It conveys how love and relationship can transcend the earth's and society's daily conventions. However, the poem can also be interpreted as a warning against self-indulgent relationships.
