the only times i've ever seen Sonny cry so emotionally is when it's about Brenda. She's the only woman in his world who can hurt him so deeply and he can still forgive. love painfully and painfully loved.
Sonny and Brenda will always be my favorite soap couple ever aside from Stone and Robin! Sonny will always belong with Brenda no matter how many times he marries Carly or anybody else.
I really think Vanessa left because they made Brenda come off as desperate. Not good enough for Sonny please, she was the best thing that happen to him. Without her he would have been dead. Carly jealous because Sonny will never fully love her, but can be contempt with her only. Sonny and Brenda forever and ever
I hope she returns at some point. The show is trying all it can to stay afloat! She would definitely bring back ratings. Steve B. Helped with his return, but the constant "Carly" favoritism is what's ruining the show! She's not that great!
What's insane is how real Vanessa's acting is - very raw - when Sonny talks about Brenda's father. Vanessa has opened up about her own relationship with her father and while it's not a 1:1 comparison, Sonny's monologue before the wedding resumes must have been actually tear-jerking for her.
i really hope that the men in carly's life wake up and realize that she ruins their lives. the whole jason thing now with sam and brenda left bc of carly

One of my favorite soap weddings! Everything about it is so perfect, from the perfect couple who deserved it more than anyone, the angst, the emotional dialogue, everything about it touches my heart each time I watch it. SnB now and forever!! We need Vanessa back so we can get wedding #2 and their happily ever after😭😭❤️❤️❤️
I know this episode is old but I cannot stand Carly!! She always gets what she wants!! She's doing this cause to tear Brenda and Sonny apart because she hates Brenda and doesn't want her and Sonny getting Married!! I'm betting she's also doing this cause she's trying to get back at Dante for sending Michael to prison!! Carly is a complete control freak who just likes to hurt others!! Telling everyone Dante and Brenda had an affair!! Anyone agree?
Man, I always forget that Sonny's actual name is Michael. It's so weird hearing anyone call him by anything except Sonny. I am so conflicted because I know that they don't end up together, not yet anyway, and that he and Carly reunite. I love Sonny. Also, I love Carly and think they make a fantastic match but I think that in a perfect life for Sonny, that he would pick Brenda. I say this because I know Brenda loves him more than anything or anyone but Sonny is happy with Brenda. He expresses emotions in ways I've never seen with him and Carly. So I would be okay if Sonny ended up with Carly or Brenda but I want Sonny to be happy. That's all I want for Sonny.

Lulu still hasn't told Dante she killed Logan,same thing,lie of omission,Lulu didn't even clap,wow she is as bad as Carly &Carly doesn't care if she even hurt her kids,um telling him privately,ok? Because of the horrible writing they wrote for her. She could not ruin her anymore because of Guza. But in 2013 she agreed to come back for a short while for the 50th Anniversary.
I think Vanessa had to leave for personal reasons, she always wanted more kids and devoted so many years trying to have more kids but it just didn’t work out. She came back in 2010 just to work with Maurice again and to give Sonny/Brenda fans this wedding that they deserved, so she likely felt satisfied once she achieved that. She’s a big fan of SnB and she knows they can always have another wedding whenever they ask her back
As happy as I was for Sonny back then the longer this went on, I knew it wouldn't last. Brenda could never handle Sonny's lifestyle. The only women Sonny has ever been with that could hand it were Carly, Lily, and Claudia. Although putting Sonny with Claudia was stupid f you ask me. I was never a fan of Sonny and Brenda together
Of course it wasn't going to last, Vanessa left the show. There is a big misconception out there about Brenda not being able to handle Sonny's lifestyle which couldn't be further from the truth. She was there and witnessed firsthand Sonny's rise to power in the mob when the danger was at an all-time high. She was put in one dangerous situation after another and still stood by him. Oh Lily and Claudia could handle it because their fathers were both mobsters and yet they're both six feet under. As for Carly, she can't even handle a pregnant young woman these days.
@@krypton4611 I totally AGREE!! Brenda can handle his life. She chose to live in his world when they were to marry in ‘97. People don’t get it that Vanessa only VISITS. She is not permanent like the Carly character. Of course he’s with Carly now. There’s no one else to pair him with. As for Claudia he treated her like piece of dirt just like he did Carly when they first met. As for Lily, she was his doormat. That was pathetic. Who marries a guy knowing he is in love with another woman. Lily hurt Sonny and Brenda in the worst way! He loved Brenda from the moment he saw her face. Sonny and Brenda have true love! @YardGyalAle Beautiful couple and finally a real wedding on GH, not b/c of the writer, Guza would of had her kidnapped b/f and then maybe years down the line run away and marry, look at Jason, he proposed to sam 2 xs and they can't have a baby b/c Guza wrote it that Liz is too afraid of his life, please I have a little knowledge in this area, not all kids that grew up in mob life get kidnapped or shot, ha ha, Guza is stupid and so are his stories!
