I'm really Thankful right now to God for giving us Chris man his talent is outstanding. There are really good professional drummers out there then there are the guys with crazy talent that are a notch above those guys and then there is guys like Coleman and Dicenso that I literally have to pick my jaw up off the floor after watching them play! So inspirational damn I wanna leave work and go play my drums right now!! Thank you for that Chris!!!
Chris you absolutely remind me of myself.I also if I did'nt want too go too class I wanted too play drums. This is my 48th.year playing drum's and I'm getting too be an educator now and it's what God has me doing in this season.Love You Brother would love too meet you some day and talk too you and possibly get too play drums with you...
Hey do these technical monster clinicians actually play music/songs well in good bands? I hear this stuff, and yes, insanely impressive but I always quickly wonder how they would sound actually playing music, being able to meld with other players, their sensitivity to them, ability to make the songs sound better, playing for the song, etc, because otherwise all this is just a highly impressive parlor trick. I've heard Grebs play with a band and sound really good....but Thomas Lang, this guy Coleman, Royster, etc.... I wonder
They do really well on gigs. You can look them up, there’s videos of Chris playing Chaka khan, Stevie wonder, Beck, Israel and new breed, new kids on the block, he recorded for prince, last gig I say him doing was dreams come true. He plays for the music when he’s on a gig, Last I saw Tony royster was playing for Katie Perry. I don’t know about lang lol
auditorialy I dont think this kit is new or special so i dont think they can justify a flagship price but chris makes everything sound good and the color is great! i couldn't pay a penny over 2500 new or 1800 used for a 6 piece for 2500 id want the shell config he has in the vid but i know how the game is.
Paul Fuller Hey Paul, actually... there's a lot going on with this new series. #1 is a new shell "thickness", not previously offered. The Birch wood is European, which has a cost efficiency- But German Built. #2 the new "Sound Sustainer Mounting" is crazy good, especially on the floor toms; I'm loving the difference. I'm already in progress to (upgrade) my personal SQ2's/etc. Those are the biggest, but most noticeable changes, in addition to the new "standard sizing" (for SONOR). If you get a chance to check them out, I'm sure you'll dig em :))
Christopher Coleman #1 Chris you're the best drummer on the planet (no joke,I'm always saying so in comment sections followed by steve jojo Thomas p Tony r and thomas L) #2 i love the mount idea i wish i could afford upgrade my delites without feeling guilty lol #3 i believe it because you said it! lol all love Chris! soul brothers from a notha mother if you ever do a clinic in the sf bay area im gonna definately try to go, i sold jim a backline guy your heads for i think a yoshis gig or sheila gig one time a while back when i worked at gc it blew my mind lol take good care n safe travels! thank you for the insight and inspiration!
Hogan Bentle i know right!? :D it's like the time i met elvin or louie or thomas lang (definately the coolest!) or terreon gully hooked a guest list for stefon harris(insanely cool thing to do it was though myspacelol and nice dude, met all the guys after the show including casey benjamin who was playing sax) or amir questo-questlove when he was dj'ing he signed a hendrix shirt Thomas p was like "come to the gig at the skate shop" (thomas also signed the same hendrix shirt on a seperate occassion and let me sit in a song play his drums a funk tune on a jazz gig!) Ronald bruner (super nice dude!)or the gchops guys or Danny Glover randomly, sooo cool like a highlight of the weeker! it's what makes it cool when musicians high up in the game are still real people! Chris is the best drummer on the planet hands down at the moment imo I've been telling people to check him oit since 2009 so this shows how humble he is to reach out to fans :)
Hogan Bentle funny thing is i hadnt even realized the comment was from Chris til i saw your comment so in a way i have you to thank for pointing that out otherwise id have probably not noticed the sender lol
I used to think that too, until I went up to Drum Center of Portsmouth to check out a Sonor Birch Infinite kit (which was superseded by the SQ1 series and is only differentiated by the finishes and kit size configurations) that was drastically reduced in price because of cosmetic issues. The second I tapped on the 10” tom I knew I wasn’t leaving there without the kit.
@@GeoffBosco Mea Culpa: I bought an SQ1 and found your opinion to be spot on. I think it's the difference between European and Asian birch along with how Sonor makes their shells. Great drums!
