Those bass drum tension knobs are not only sleek and simple to use, but it will pinpoint precise tuning to another level.. These German engineers certainly have their shit together, don't they ?
Rhythmista Same I love this kit. But I don‘t have enough money to effort it. That is why I am going to buy a used S Class Maple which is a great alternative.
Actually the Prolite as well as limited edition Made in Germany series also has the Two Mallet logo but with a square badge. Only the lower lines had the circular badges (as well as the older S Classix and Delites which were made in German. Nice kit but the Prolites are just as nice. I have both SQ2 and Prolite kits.
There are only 6 SQ2's pre-configurated kits. This is a custom kit. You can put your kit together with the sonor SQ2-configurator: www.sq2-drumsystem.com/
Sonor medium shells are 6mm in thickness. So I hope you realize that given that you have inner and outer veneers of 2mm each-- that's really only a single 2mm core ply of beech and 2 x 2mm veneers. To make things worse that inner 2mm Ebony veneer is fake wood (i.e. ALPI). Kinda casts a big shadow on the mantra that tone woods make such a huge difference in your tone. Alternatively I guess you could say that its a hybrid shell. LOL
Not impressed at all especially the fact you need moongel on the snare drum they sound like you're hitting dead pillows and I know that's sonor makes quality kits. Maybe it's just the head configuration and tuning
