I like the sound of the 6x13" I like it nice tight crispy sound that gives me a clean drum roll and puts me in a pocket. That's why I love the sound of a marching snare drum

Thank you so much for including the 13” vintage snare. I’ve been wondering how different it might be to the Benny Greb 2.0 snares and especially the beech version. I think it has a similar sound to the Benny Beech snare and probably the best tuning is at the high end… but still versatile to tune lower as needed… appreciate your thoughts on this.

Also love the 14” snares, they really do have a characteristic tone of beech don’t they? A strong mid note from the shell that only drops out at higher tunings.

Thanks, great comparison. I have a 5.75 and it is a wonderful snare. I’ve been thinking of adding another size and this video is just what I was looking for.
