I’ve had both of these. I’ll just say this. I returned three roams. And kept my tribit. Turn the Sonos up to over 75% and I’d rather sing. The tribit sounds good at all volumes.
I purchased the tribit stormbox 360 due to it's sorround sound, xbass technology,ipx7,and the impressive 20hours playtime depending on the level of volume and music.
what I think is ridiculous is when they describe the wifi feature of the sonos roam. I mean where the heck would someone set up a wifi outside or in the woods then pair multiple devices with it.
Regardless their differences in price the Tribit still sounds better but if you're an audiophile and have a neutral reference point for speakers then you will be surprised that the MaxSound Plus exists only at one third of the price of that junk!
It was an unfair comparison as the Sonos is directional and the Tribit multi. I'd be interested in a comparison to what, I believe, is a fairer contender - the Tribit Maxsound, which often retails for even less than the Tribit featured.
