I think what I love most about SoA, is that Sutter did a brilliant job of showing how the innocent people are affected by and caught up in the sort of violence that the Club breeds. The MC isn't "bad" per se, but it has bad elements and a lot of shades of grey mixed up amongst it. Donna was a real one. She knew what the club was, and she knew the risks, that's why she wanted to keep Opie straight, but she'd still never dream of selling them out. In the end, it turns out that she was right, and Opie paid with her life for not heeding her advice. Tara's kind of similar in a lot of respects, though with a slightly darker streak in her. She comes across as antagonistic quite a lot because she's clashing with the direction of SAMCRO, but she's only trying to do what's best. Tara probably shouldn't have reacted the way she did in this episode, but as stated, she's still dealing with some serious PTSD, and she's worried that the love of her life is slipping away from her again because Gemma's sunk her claws in.

Poor Opie as loyal a friend/brother as there is he lost 5 years of his life (prison), lost 5 years watching his kids grow, lost 5 years with his wife, lost father was killed, lost his wife and children's mom, and then lost his life. All of that and wasnt given the benefit of doubt wether he was snitching. So basically all Opie got from the club was a vest, patches, extra cash, and a pornstar girlfriend. He was already down with Jax prior to joining. That's the worst trade I've ever heard.

I know you want to blame Tig for killing Donna but it's not his fault. Tig is Clay's enforcer. He was only doing what Clay told him to do. He had no way of knowing that was Donna in the truck. He never would have pulled the trigger if he had known it was her. Based on the information they had at the time, Clay and Tig felt they had no other option. If Opie was a rat, then he had to be taken out. It was a tragic mistake is all.
