That moment where Romeo tells Jax to bury his feelings about Clay felt like he legitimately was trying to connect with him for a moment. Then Aceveda-I mean Luis sweeps in with the ominous goodbye.
Man this was a cool ass scene. Lol, some thug ass bike rider ends up managing a large scale business and the CIA has political interests to uphold. Lol. They played their card perfectly. "I'm afraid we're at cross purposes Mr. Teller."
This would so not happen in real life lol, but ok it were good storylines. Why would the CIA of the most powerful country & military in the world need weapons from an underground supplier of quite baisc & older stuff mainly? And drug dealers, cartels would simply be crushed by either ATF, FBI, DEA etc... They make it looks pretty romantic in series like this, but it's not realistic.
@@bekeneel CIA has been directly implicated in underground drug, weapons, and other illicit traffic since the 1940s, and there are multiple documented historical examples of their working closely with established criminal syndicates. See for example covert U.S. aid to the Contras, and the lengths they went, kind of people they worked with, drugs they trafficked (for wide distribution in their own country's inner cities) etc. to generate funds for the CIA's secret war in Nicaragua. And that was far from an isolated incident - what you believe is unrealistic is sadly par for the course in the real history of the USA.
@@bekeneelthis the dumbest comment ive ever read. They do it to have as minimal connection to shady deals as possible and overall intelligence. Also the cia has been caught before having cartel connections for drugs and weapons. I mean the us economys boosted with billions in drug money every year lmao. The cartel is only allowed to flourish bc we make money. The cia has toppled entire governments before and have done shit like smuggle taliban heroin out of dead soldiers bodies being shipped home from the middle east. How do you think the mujahadeen fought back against the russians during their invasion of the middle east? Our weapons and covert cia operations. Also the fbi stopping it are you fr? The fbi got caught with involvement in a satanic child sex slavery ring and loads of other shit. The atf is a puppy dog for when politicians dont get their way. You seriously need to educate yourself little bro the government is not your friend.
I *_Love_* Danny Trejo! I love how he became an actor by happenstance. He really became one of the best, imo. Being an ex-convict and all, I really love his "feel good" story.
Amen to that. I don’t think he’s ever been one after being a mainstream actor. Just does what he enjoys. SoA shows he’s got what it takes to be an award winning actor. Cause he was so mysterious and intimidating at the same time without even trying lol.
Romeo and Luis were two of the most BADASS characters in any show I've watched, both are no nonsense and straight to the point. One of the scenes that I absolutely loved by Romeo was episode 11 of this season when they raid the cartel camp and Romeo asks the one dude where the rest of them were and the guy stays silent and Romeo without hesitation just executes the guy with a bullet to the head. Just ruthless.
Banks, private prisons, military industrial complex, corrupt politicians, political campaigns, intelligence agencies, law enforcement agencies, shadow governments. They all benefit from the war on drugs.
Jax was like you gotta be fucking with me in the back of his mind he was like welp their goes my retirement exit strategy now I gotta deal with this shiy
CIA don't have badges. Only Federal bodies like DEA, ATF and Homeland Security and have badges other than cops. If one is identified as CIA or he blows his cover, he is a shitty agent.
Always liked that for gangsters hiding behind federal badges they even respected the fact that Jax admits hes in way over his head and indeed small time.
Indeed, CIA would never subsidize a cartel lol. Similar storylines in Mayans MC or "Queen of the south" which I find real good too, it's interesting to watch but not realistic.
Charlie Hunham did an amazing acting job in this, but damn did he struggle with the american accent. I'm pretty sure je slipped in his british accent at least once in every episode.
Kurt sutter told him around this time he doesn’t have to focus too much on his accent. Seasons 1-3 you never heard accent slip up. In the last couple seasons he doesn’t even sound like the same person from the first few seasons
It would make more sense if they were working with the DEA since those agencies would work with the cartel in order to catch the bigger fish or control the drug trade instead. The CIA's objective seems more in par with national security associated with international relations and more focused on national interest in terms of socio-political and econmic status of a nation (AKA Terrorism or international Conflict between states).
Nope, that's the NSA you are talking about. CIA's business is basically being in everydody's businesses, to be aware of the "big picture", making millitias, working with cartels, proxy wars... you name it.
these two were the main enforcers for the galindo cartel t i honestly thought that they would show up in the mayans but i guess when jose galindo died and miguel took over they either got relieved of their duties OR they just didnt wanna deal w/ miguel galindo
The us government funds cartels and other illegal originations to fight terrorism and other bad stuff it's basically deciding what kinda evil u can live with verses what u can't hope that helps
I understand funding the cartels to make the money but what way do the cartels fight terrorism ? Or is it just the money that the cartels make them help the US fight terrorism?
The Fact Is Donald Trump should know it by now it's not the Mexican he should dealing with.. it's his own turf especially the CIA he should deal with..
Triple A Tbh he knew that whole race under the bus, saying that every single person crossing that border are drug dealers, rapists..it's not secret tho that the real reason you dont see a complete lockdown on drug enforcement and (not talking about weed) is because the government in some way is profiting from drugs sometimes directly, sometimes not. Shit Trump should know about shady business deals, You cannot tell me that of all his business dealings from the 70's 80's and 90's he never had dealings with the Italian mob in New York or New Jersey? Come on, I'm sure his dad Fred has similar dealings in the decades prior to that, the Mob RAN New York City for how many years?
That would be dope. In my opinion, they were the best supporting characters in SoA. Both their characters were played very well and the cartell arc itself was one of the better parts of the whole series, at least that's what I'm thinking. And it would only make sense for the Mayans spinoff to bring both of them back🖒
This is exactly where the show shat itself to death. Man I loved this show but after this there was no going back to treating it half-seriously, expecting the nazis or gangs, the worst most vile people ever to be untouchable CIA, FBI, the President in disguise, or Jesus himself because the plot needs it. I was expecting Poe to say they can't kill him because he's the pope he's just missing a letter or something equally insane to machete being CIA just about as he was going to get killed. The writing really had a dip in the mid seasons, I feel sorry for whoever had to pick up the pieces
You have no jurisdiction so unless you show me a dea badge, three can keep a secret if two are dead. You are no field operates but associates. Sort it later.
Yeah be a dead man as soon as you step out of the states from an agency that make people disappear all the time. Why put extra heat on yourself they can't bust you like you said no jurisdiction. no arresting powers. And not to mention they have positions within the cartels and the find out...more heat
Shame the follow up to this plot in Mayans was so confusing, and half assed. I guess the CIA gave up on Galindo a year or two after this. Also, now that I think about it, I wonder why the CIA never gave up Juice as an informant. But I guess there was no advantage there for them.
Well they can’t kill millions Assassinate people train death squads torture or perform economic warfare and control arms drug empire blackmail take out a government worker control media or financial sector but guess what my boy
....and this was pretty much the stupidest part of the entire series; the friggin CIA, really, and carrying "badges" and blowing their covers, give me a break?
Okay that's Obama, Eric Holder, The ATF, ICE, DOJ, FBI everybody knew about it but nobody at the White House did? GTFOH , The AG didn't know a operation involving a foreign national and nobody know's nothing. The smell of bullshit is strong.
I'm confused, but I may already know the answer. If torres was CIA, how can he kill Pedro? Or the CIA can kill citizens just like that. I suspect Luis Torres did it because his cover would've been compromised. But I thought CIA can't kill us citizens. What happened to innocent until proven guilty. That's where I got lost with season 4. Also, is the galindo cartel aware of them being CIA?
