I spent a couple hours in that room with this gentleman and Michael Fremer running the TT. An amazing system, for sure. Those SF speakers are sounding amazing, even in a compromised room.

I am utterly stunned, ‘gob smacked’, dumb founded that a so say, reputable and highly respected magazine like Stereophile can feature premium hi-fi equipment accompanied by sound clips. Do they really expect the discerning audiophile, or the man on the street for that matter, to be able to appreciate the sonic characteristics of that rig via the compressed algorithms of RU-vid? Absolutely and totally insane. Brings into question the whole legitimacy of ‘high end’ hi-fi. Through the algorithms of RU-vid, I question whether absolutely anyone could differentiate between sound clips from an entry level system and a premium system. Am I missing something? Can someone please enlighten me.
