I have a very special radio to show you. It’s a Sony 7R-79, 4 band transistor radio from the 1960s . This radio is a rare and collectible model that features 8 transistors and four wave bands: medium wave, and three short wave bands. It also has a , a tone control knob, and an external DC 6V power supply adaptor socket. This radio was made in Japan by Sony Corporation, one of the pioneers of transistor technology. It was sold in Australia for 99.95 dollars at the time.
As you will see, this radio is in pretty good condition for its age. The case is intact, the knobs are smooth, and the speaker is clear. However, there are some issues that need to be fixed. The battery compartment is corroded, and the dial lamp is fused. I'll attempt recapping as well.
