I have the a73 and i do like it but I am only really starting off in photography and Videography and I have the Tamron lenses 17 to 28 and 28 to 75 if 2.8 but I am very excited to see what I can achieve in this sort of industry in the future
Would love to see more videos like this one. Trying out different lenses and cameras for real estate. Prime lenses, zoom lenses, different gimbals!! Etc. That will keep this channel growing more!! Good job
I'm glad to hear in this video you say you wouldn't swap for your GH5... Neither would I, but it's a nice comparison and review Grant. Thanks for sharing!
Good review, things were on a point I think. Just wondering what gamma settings did you have? Because that can largely affect dynamic range of the camera thus things like details in highlights etc.
@@GrantJohnstonVideos Yes that would also might help.. however for better dynamic range is normaly recommended to set gamma to Cine4 or HLG3 inside the picture profile.. no matter which picture profile. But yeah I'm not saying your're wrong :)
fabulous job on this review. and very impressed with myself, after spending zillions of hours with my RX10, i understood every single tech jargon you said! :P
Still prefer the GH5 images, the Sony colour of the room interior looks a bit washed out where I thought it would be the other way round. Off tangent: How much is a cup of coffee at your favourite coffee shop? It was the US/NZ dollar rates that prompted this. Everyday cost of living ~ future video potential!
Hey Alan - it would take a little more use but I'm sure I could get the colours dialed in on that A7iii. Good question about the coffee, in NZ an Espresso costs on average between NZ$4.50 - $5.00. I remember they use to use the price of Big Macs between countries as some sort of economy indicator, maybe it should be coffee now?
I think the Cine 4 profile in the a7iii would have matched up better with Cine Like D in the GH5. Has more dynamic range than the rec 709 profile you were using but has more contrast and saturation than S-log. I kind of have a similar setup for real estate where I use the a7Sii for photos and the GH5s for videos
Yes thats part of it and also I have spent a lot of time with my GH5 and also there wouldn't be significant advantages for the cost of a new camera system.
Brother I just received my A7s iii and diving into real estate and wedding videography. Which lens would you recommend to start with the 16-35mm or 12-24mm? On a budget want to make sure I get the right one. Thanks
Hi, so been using the a73 for real estate videos for a about a year using 50p and 100 shutter, do you think 4k 25p at 50 shutter would be ok? or should I bump it up to 100 shutter for that as well to get less motion blur?
Yes, the Sony gets the job done. Yet, a Realtor will get the identical result from a slideshow video produced in Lr from the stills taken of property in 1/10th the time to produce 30 seconds of video. This makes me wonder what’s the point, even for luxury properties? sterlingimagesphotogrsphy.com
