as someone who upgraded to this monster i can tell you right away to whoever is thinking about it, just go for it! Now if this will be your first camera i would not recommend it since it is very expensive and buying it and then not finding yourself in this business will for sure hurt your wallet. BUT if you had any other camera and thinking about upgrade then for sure even this and next 3+ years this camera will dominate. 2nd choice for me was gh5
This video couldn't have better timing for me. I was looking bewtween the a7c and a7iii, this video made me go for the a7iii, got it for 1500. amazing value for what one gets.
Very nice review! Bought a used A7 III for US$1200 last week and so far its been my go to camera! I only wish it had the weather-sealing of with my 10yr old Pentax K5 which I wash under the sink after a day of shooting in the UAE desert or if the buttons become sticky! Come on Sony - you can do better!
Nice to meet you! I also bought a7c! I like it very much and use it almost every day. The video was very interesting. I will come to play again! With love from Japan :)
Really having a hard time here: Canon RP or Sony A7 iii . In Canada we are talking about 1000$ for the sony! Ticks all the boxes but no flip screen. Your thoughts?
I would say get the Sony A7iii. I think you get more out of it as the RP is just an entry level full frame while the A7iii is a very good full frame that’s able to stack up against cameras like the Nikon D850 and the Canon Eos R6
You went to the island I live on! Waimea canyon is my backyard. I’ve shot with the original a7r they came out with a long time ago. Just died sadly. Thanks for the info!
Its a great camera that pushed the industry forward. My only real dislike is the small low res rear screen. Its the only reason Ive stayed away from Sony cameras so far. Im sure that will be updated in the A74.
A7RII Ibis causes cameras to fail constantly. Sony UK say not covered under warranty. Apparently user fault. Do not buy. Look up ibis lock/shutdown. I only found out after it was too late. Share and tell everyone. Less than 10k actuations. Bad buy my bad. :(. This camera also has ibis :( camera takes decent pictures when it works. Unfortunately massively let down buy Sony aftercare
Please I want to buy a camera looking at a6400 Sony and gh4 lumix which one should I go for, gh4 is 7years now do you still recommend it for shooting cinematic video or a6400 ?
I need an advice, I’m planning to buy my very first professional camara so I don’t know which I should chose between the Sony a6400 or the Sony alpha a7lll, can someone help me to pick?
Any mic jack will require love after being plugged in and out every day for years... right? In the pro audio world they make all jacks easy to maintain or replace because they will fail 100% for sure, eventually, depending on use...
Love the camera when I bought it a couple months ago. Also it's so cool you got to shoot a famous Korean actor in that intro sequence. Can't wait to see what u make next year Henbu!
@henbu Hi bro, please share your feedback on keeping the A7iii sensor clean. It easily picks up dust when changing lenses outdoors. Please provide your tips on how to prevent that. Please do respond to my query. Thanks in advance
I saw sony a7c has video improvements tho... so now I dunno what to buy as my first full frame camera between a7iii and a7c 🤣 I gotta say that I'd use it as hybrid, to take always w me for photos and videos
thank you for content.. i need help from someone who understands these things better. my first camera was a sony a6000 and i now want to buy a new camera. i having been thing of going full frame but it's quite expensive for me. so which camera would be a deal breaker for all round photography in general (travel, street and low light photos) ? or should i save money to get the a7iii
This camera is a beast of a camera. I’ve had it for a year now and I don’t feel the need in an upgrade. Instead of spending money to buy a new body I’ll get the best lenses and I’ll be set for AT LEAST 6 more years. The only reason why I would get a future a7x camera is to have a second body. But yeah, still definitely worthy in 2021!
i’ve never experienced overheating problems with mine. It’s an amazing camera and i’d recommend it to anyone, especially NOW that it’s on sale for $1698
@@arno.claude es hängt davon ab ob du nur gehäuse kaufst oder direkt mit einem kit objektiv. Sony hat momentan aktion bis 31.1.21! Also schau sofort nach 😍 saturn.de es gibt rabatte 🙏🏻
Great video dude! I make videos with the A7III and I was wondering how much it costs to get your mic jack repaired? Also how long does it take to get your camera back when you send it in for this?
I bought my A7iii used for $1800 CAD (about $1400 USD) and as an upgrade from my old canon. Love the pictures and the video quality is brilliant. The only thing I initially hated was the menu system (especially compared to canon). The lens choice is also stellar.
A73 is still the best hybrid camera and there is a reason why literally every content creator / youtuber got it. Also people seem to forget that a body doesn't get any worse just because newer and better models are released. The A73 will be an outstanding body for years to come. A7S3 is better for video but for hybrid the a73 is performance / price / feature winner. Using it for 2 years without a single issue. I'll get the successor of it for sure once it's released since the a7s3 is too much focussed on video and I prefer a hybrid solution.
@@reswaratravel1040 Personally I don't have any issue with the shutter but there are always Monday products :) Between a7iii and a7c I would still go for the a73 since I prefer the body form and a7c is too small. But there are some great comparison videos between those 2 bodies. The lenses you mount on the body will influence your results so much more than the body anyway.
Just bought one and was watching other videos on it afterwards and came across yours and it made me feel so good about the purchase as I wanna use it for personal use of home pictures and videos as well as film for music videos and you tube tv shows.
For anyone who experiences issues with the audio jack, this usually is because of the metal camera strap clip that hangs right above the audio jack itself. This is an issue because if your microphone jack accidentally touches the metal clip while it's plugged in, it can cause the whole audio system to short circuit. It's happened to me a number of times and I've had to send it in to get it repaired. To avoid this, you can either remove the metal clip and sacrifice your option to use a camera strap, or you can cover the metal parts with plastic dip or electrical tape so that you don't run the risk of accidentally short circuiting your audio. Other than that, the sony a7iii is a GREAT entry level camera and I highly recommend it for beginner filmmakers like myself :)
An cheaper alternative for the recommended microphone is the Sony GZ1M Gunzoom Microphone. It’s about 70 $ and goes directly into the hotshoe too. Used it for the last 4 years and it never let me down once.
oh man sound design was SO GOOD in this one! Yeah I think I'll be keeping my A7III for a while until I can pick up the A7SIII. Also, thanks for all the content! Have decided to start a youtube channel this year because of creatives like you! Appreciate all you do!
Bro I planned to upgrade my canon 80d to mirrorless camera....But i have a big confusion regarding canon R6 vs sony a7iii....so please suggest me that best came for me?
It's the only camera come replacement time I've replaced with the exact same camera! Of course I would have rather gone for the a7siii but with everything that's going on I decided I would go with a fresh a7iii (hdmi output issues).
Might sound weird but could you make a video on who you are and what were the steps that took you from shooting as a hobby to something that took you to saudi arabia, hawaii, etc. I'm really interested in doing freelance work but would like to see the path others took!
