Weird there are no change log, I see A7S III got settings you could touch on the screen, instead of just touch focus. I don't know why this one did not.
I've made the upgrade and noticed raw .ARW files aren't getting opened in Lightroom (ver. 13.0) or Photoshop (ver 25.0, Camera Raw ver 15.5). Has anyone experienced the same issue or can test with their version? Mac preview opens the images fine. Thanks!

Displays Wi-Fi signal strength. Increases maximum image folder capacity to 9,999. Adds support for C2PA format (license availability pending). Introduces Custom Grid Line (paid license, availability varies). Fixes timecode retention issue after power restart. Resolves custom key operation restart issue. Enhances exposure stability with extended ISO for movie recordings. Improves camera operational stability.
The A7S III update is very nice, I like the new look. But hate the fact that in S&Q it doesn't say 100fps on the screen. That was a great reminder for me.
It also updated the live-streaming via cable from 4k 15fps which I never used to 4k 30fps which I was going to buy an A7CR to get, but now Sony updated the camera, yeah! Check that, Sony added a unique to the A7IV 2k 1440 LiveStream feature. The USB connected webcam feature is still just 4k 15 😔
Is that color-coded dial part of the camera skin? Also, I'm really not expecting much in terms of new features at this point, but I am interested to know if the camera is any more stable.. every now and then mine will freeze up and I have to pop the battery out and back in. We likely aren't getting anything exciting until the next generation comes out.
Hi, I use two SD Cards for my Sony A7iv. How to switch between the two SD cards to view my photos and videos on my A7iv? I can only view one SD card at a time. Thanks.
My camera is not working now after the download. I brought my camera to my camera shop they couldn't solve the issue. I am not able to shoot any photos, I did everything right. My menu button is not working, the lcd screen works but my camera is not working. What can I do to fix this without sending my camera in to SONY. I have one camera only and have a trip planned this coming week can't afford another camera now. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Clark

EVERY time anyone sees me use it on set / when I'm doing photos or videos with friends, they're shocked by the very concept of me being able to so quickly have the photos and videos on my phone. I haven't tried the canon or Nikon apps but given by how even photographers and filmmakers are so amazed by me doing this, I imagine the sony app must be the best.
new update eliminate focus compansion and system inside programing is modified, sony cant change the menu display functions because people are friendly with default functions and display options they cant change anything it makes user confuse and nervous ,
Interesting it took 5 minutes, did 2.11 update take 5 minutes too? Which SD card did you use? When I updated to 2.11 it took few seconds, I did not time it, but was definitely not 5 mins. My sd cards are DELKIN SD BLACK Rugged UHS-II (V90) R300/W250 256GB. Not cheap, but got them on sale.
I'm glad I'm sell this camera for the Zve1...the only thing Sony has to do in this camera to make us happy was to put 60p in 4k. But obviously no...why? Because is Sony... Good job Sony 👍🏻
@@PichBunly great choice...I too was tempted to switch to Panasonic. it certainly gives you much more than Sony and costs less. the only problem is that it doesn't have many lenses...but the ones it does have all work very well and don't have lens breathing or flare problems or other problems that many lenses that I've tried for Sony have...
I recommend not doing it i just Bricked my camera, I just try everything on the internet. No luck i will send in tomorrow. Let see what they said but apparently the PC board is burned.
@@jasonmarquis9935 I've not had any issues using 3rd party batteries in over 10 years. Unfortunately unless you're a professional earning decent money, it's difficult to swallow the cost of Sony original batteries which are extortionate in cost. I'm sure the Sony batteries are superior, but as a back up I'm happy to have a couple of 3rd party ones in my camera bag just in case.
@@tagtheshooter6463so no change. This indicator dissappear also on previous software wersion, and also on older. In fact I even doesn't have it on my a7 III. Nothing change.
@@SuperFilmregisseur actually it's not complicated just download firmwarefile copy to your SD card or connect your camera to creator app on your phone just like I did in this video
What a waste of an update SONY!. Nothing usefull, and grid lines license is a Joke, it should be free.. The grid lines was actually the only thing I found interesting, but for sure im not gonna pay for that feature.
Pretty useless video IMHO. Just read the firmware update description before installing, it says exactly what are the new options and fixes, so there’s no “surprises” or “dissapointments”, you can see in advance if added functions in the new firmware are useful to you or not. Imagine that 😂 BTW, you can customise your Function button menu with basically any setting you want, and do that separately for photo and video. And thats not new.
