Jason reviews the Sony a7S & the Vario-Tessar T* FE 24-70mm lens. Here's some footage during his trip to Banff, Canada, shooting occasionally on APS-C (crop mode).
The APS-C crop mode has a factor of 1.6, giving an approximate focal length of 38-112mm with the Sony FE 24-70mm lens. This gives an additional room for cropping into scenes with no pixel binning, maintaining details in the image.

Great video. How is the sharpness of the stills? I just got an A7iii but still no lens. I'm trying to decide whether this one or the newer but more expensive 24-105 F4G. At the current price of this lens, not sure if the difference of $450 USD is worth the upgrade or if this lens is already good enough to start off. Thanks for your feedback!
