DonnieGQ 4K is just a resolution, more important is the vibrance and saturation or strengh of the panel at all... 4K means more details overall... and more possible ways to show content... :) but this camera... will be futureproof... still when 8K (in 2018-2020) arrives... yoou just need a good lens... external microphone... and external hdmi recorder... and your private rig is not to beat.

hi I like your review about a7s, but there are few question I have about a7s. I do video recording with a6000 about after 25 min it gets overheated. I would like to know if A7s if you keeps running it for 2 hrs also if you can show a test between gh4 lowlight autofocusing vs A7s lowlight autofocus Thanks

HELP!!! I'm currently looking for a camera so that I can start getting into videography. I'll be filming cars for most of the videos in a wide range of lighting conditions and locations and need a camera that will accommodate substantial amounts of wide open scenery as well as one that will do up close detailed clips. Most importantly it needs to be able to take good dynamic shots of cars driving and one that can get good slo motion shots. Any advice? Should I get a DSLR or camcorder? I'm currently looking at the GH4, A7S, and 60D. Are these good choices for my needs?
i want to ask you why you have not any noise at all i have a sony a7s and my footage at dark is so noisy and s log 2 dont work very well for me i use 16-35 mm sony lense if you dont use noise reduction plz tell me how can i get something like this quality thanks
If you download original file from vimeo, you can see the noise. vimeo.com/101833709 I think maximum ISO is 12800 without noise reduction. In the case of setting the PP7(S-Log2), it is necessary to adjust the exposure from +1EV to +2EV more than the exposure meter of the camera. darwinfish105 can you tell me exactly what setting do you use ? i download from vimeo and still i see very little noise compare to my recorded video and i am so sad maybe my a7s is fake i dont know is this quality related to grading or editing because when is see my videos at full size in pc it is so noisy
Borna Etemad I used PP7(S-log2) with standard setting(no changed parameters) . I use Adobe Premiere Pro. Applied OSIRIS LUT. Lift shadow and lower highlight by RGB curve. Adjust brightness with each clip by Quick Color Correction.
Edy Herman 12mp!!!!!! 4k is 8mp duh!!! HD is only 2mp!! The only reason its 12mp is yo increase the size of the photo sites god!! Why watch this video and be so clueless!!! Photography wise 12mp is enough for 95 percent if work!! Only fine large print not so much but still OK!! No one will ever need more camera than this... Until the phone finally takes over
