I’ve bought 2 of these. About a year into using them both of them started glitching and making this scratchy sound and the picture fluttered in and out. I reconnected to wifi multiple times, unplugged and replugged anything I can think of and none of it worked. Now I have two useless DVD players. I thought the first time was a fluke or just a bad player but now both of the exact same players doing this is a problem.
Did they come pre loaded? I dont have that many options when I turned it on for the first time. I've connected internet already. Do I have to download these apps?
bruh, i also forgot to mention, when you're watchin a blu ray, or a dvd, turn the audio drc off, it'll sound better with audio drc off, instead of having it on.
Hi, I'm trying to do Mirroring with my Iphone 7, I've searched all the titles the connection guide gives for "mirroring" and none come up on the phone? Can't find any videos on how to mirror my Iphone to the dvd player. Have you tired mirroring? Can you make a video on it?
Ya that's why now I'm piss 😠 off I had Samsung it stop supporting Hulu so I got this b4 I brought it asked if it support Hulu told yes just hooked it up n no smh I don't understand why they don't support this one app SMH 😤😡😠
Can you please tell me if Sony players accept both 110-240v? I am thinking to buy a Region A player and was thinking to get this but I live in middle east so need to make sure if this player is compatible. Do you also have any ideas about voltage of supplied adaptor brick? Is it 12 v AC adaptor?
Why did it have scratches on it? Did you buy an open-box unit, or did you buy it, use it, then rebox it for the unboxing? This is unit is a couple of years old... there are reviews of the same model from 2016. The unit sold for about $99 two years ago, and sells for $75-80 today. I would expect older models to sell for much less.
We just got that 2 hours ago because our camper tv wasn’t working with my PS4 so for 2 days I had to put up with that but now we have a player that makes sound it works at home but it doesn’t here
I got this for Christmas. The apps wouldn't load for me, but I ended up ignoring all that since I use Roku anyway. (Unfortunately, one "Region Free" dvd that I also got for Christmas isn't compatible. 😥 A few extras won't play at all, but that's a Region problem. I guess that's expected with all players). My one real gripe about this player is that it's very noisy and vibrates like mad. I don't see this particular model as lasting very long. Hopefully, I'm wrong about that but it really is a noisy thing.
For the price of this box new, your better off using a ps3 or paying a little bit more and get a used ps4. Can get much more apps and play games if you want, if not don't matter does it.
I really hate those annoying advertisements while watching RU-vid. What button to do you hit on the remote to "Skip" the add and go straight to your video?
For some reason my BlueRay does not eject or turn off when pressing the green button. Was working fine and then all of a sudden it did not eject or turn off. Help
Please someone tell me honest question is the Blu Ray Tray of good length my Blu Ray player I currently have my hands are to big and I can't grab my Blu Ray discs lol.
I got this piece of CRAP for Mother's day....( 3months ago ).. RU-vid app just stopped working, Thank God I got insurance on it but, I really need to find the receipt BEFORE I shatter it in little bitty pieces. Or is there a way to reboot this thing?
I have a tech challenging question. Can i... Watch Videos (MP4, MKV, AVI etc) via USB and does it read the SRT files (Subtitles). I download a lot of foreign movies and it somes with a subtitles file, i usually use VLC player on my laptop and it worked on my previous TV, Not on my new tv.. Im looking for a dvd player with usb that has this. i really need subtitles to read. Please if you own this dvd player, can you test this and let me know, even show me a snapshot or video would be appreciated and i can buy asap. Regards
hmm, the reply I made a day ago didn't go through. Let's try again I have a Panasonic , the instruction manual says it's either a model TC-L32U3, TC-L37U3, or TC-L42U30. I have no speakers, sound just comes through the tv. I have a few HDMI ports in the back with like a dvd recorder and a ps3, which doesn't work anymore, attached to it.
I just checked the Sony US website, Article 00228486 (www.sony.com/electronics/support/home-video-blu-ray-disc-players-recorders/bdp-s3700/articles/00228486) states: "Dear Valued Sony Customer, Beginning on August 14, 2019, the Hulu app will no longer be available on certain U.S. Blu-Ray Disc player models, due to the fact that the app will no longer be supported by Hulu on those models. Please refer to the list of U.S. models below to determine if your device is affected. This list is subject to change. We appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause." Affected U.S. Blu-ray Disc Players: BDP-BX110 BDP-BX320 BDP-BX350 BDP-BX370 BDP-BX510 BDP-BX520 BDP-BX620 BDP-BX650 BDP-S1100 BDP-S1200 BDP-S1500 BDP-S1700 BDP-S2200 BDP-S2500 BDP-S3100 BDP-S3200 BDP-S3500 *BDP-S3700* BDP-S5100 BDP-S5200 BDP-S5500 BDP-S6200 BDP-S6500 BDP-S6700 BDP-S7200 UHP-H1 That blows. I have the same Blu-ray player & while I don't have a Hulu subscription, my wife has been trying to convince me we should. I'm glad I didn't relent & instead explained that it would make more sense to access streaming services through a "smart" TV when we get a 4K one, rather than having to use the Blu-ray player, mostly because it's one less thing that needs to be on in the signal chain & the Blu-ray player itself wouldn't provide any benefit that I'm aware of vs streaming through the TV, especially given the lack of 4K content available. The Blu-ray player would be an unnecessary extra device with no noticeable difference to the experience. Audio would be handled by the Denon Receiver anyway. All that requires is for me to plug that bad boy in, toggle the ARC setting to "On" in the TV''s Menu & BAM: full, glorious, true surround sound from a real speaker system! I did mention that so-called "smart" TVs have a greater chance of continued support for streaming services compared to Blu-ray players and other auxiliary/additional devices, though I admitted that it didn't seem like that would be much of a risk if any. I figured it was more likely that some services would be dropped more from competing services or based on the number of active users which access content through the devices, as opposed to planned/deliberate dropping of a particular service (whether the manufacturer openly admits it or not having no bearing) in an effort to sell newer devices. That'll teach me to make assumptions about huge companies & their concern when it comes to customer feedback & ease of access to a variety of services. On a side note, I did watch something on Amazon Prime Video thorough the Blu-ray player & wasn't impressed enough to want to do it again, at least not while it's still above 100° out...
Wednesday Sept. 4, 2019. I bought this on Sunday of the same week. I only got to watch "You Don't Mess With The Zohan" (Blu-ray) and "Victorious" (the dvd collection, both seasons), before this sucker just failed at its main job... playing DVDs. That just happened Tuesday. Every time I play any movie, it freezes at some random part and becomes unresponsive to everything. I'd like to know if it's just mine, or a fixable software problem. I'll try deleting my user data to see if that helps or reset everything if possible. I'll update you all for anyone having the same problem.
Don't buy this DVD player and expect it to last. I bought two, one for our lounge and one for our spare TV. Both have failed within two years of purchase. One completely gave up, the other is misbehaves on a regular basis. The door and drawer for the blu ray work only intermittently. The apps whilst very useful, don't always work. I'm on the hunt for a reliable player with apps so will not be buying a Sony.
I just got this DVDS player, I don't know why but it will not turn on unless I disconnect the HDMI cable. Once I take it out the DVD player turns on and then I could reconnect the HDMI cable for it to work. Why?
CARMEN VARGAS I have never heard of this issue. But you have to hold the power button for it to turn on. Or you could try turning it on with the remote.
Tech It Out I have done that before but it still won't turn on unless I disconnect the HDMI cable. This is the second one I have, I returned the first because I thought it had some problems.
Button placement on this remote sucks bigtime! The netflix button is right above the play fast forward buttons stinks. If you hit ti by accident when trying to fast forward it dumps the playing movie and moves you to Netflix, then you have to restart movie all over again from beginning.
@@drrightwing4435 I brought three, one each for our three main TVs and all of them will stop streaming randomly and often didn't hold settings. I ended up with cheaper Blu Ray players and Rokus
