Hello. My TV is kdl-50w809c. It started giving me an error 5 blinks I put tape on the right ribbon cable and now it goes but it gives almost the whole display thin horizontal lines. about 20 cm from the upper side there are no lines. Any advice on what to do?
I have Sony KDL-42W700B, TV is working fine but display is showing horizontal lines of different colours. What would be the cause ? How to repair ? Can I get any contact details/group?
Hi, many thanks for the video. I have the same problem with Sony KDL 50W805, but at the right hand side. But I still need some help. How am I supposed to cut off the LC2? Just scratch the contacts? Kind regards from Germany! Jens
I have a t-con board ordered for mine. I'll let you know what I do and if it worked. TC boards are getting really hard to find for this model. If that doesn't work, i'm going to cut the 2 connections at rg6 like in the video after i check which side is causing the issue. If it is on the right side instead of the left side as in the video, i guess i cut the 2 connections just to the right of the 2 cut in the vid? Not sure on that yet. I have KDL800B. This model seems to now be falling apart all over the place at the same time, with the same issue. I'll come back to this thread when I get my board and let you know. I would have loved to see this full video, plus, not in fasst forward speed.
Replacing TC board didn't solve problem. After isolating LC1 and LC2, the issue was on the left side, exactly as the OP's problem. I cut LC1 and LC2 at the RG6 location and didn't solve the problem either. Looks like I'm going shopping for a new TV.
Hi Sir, Sorry I was not able to create this video in full English. However, the subtitle is in English. How can I help you? Are you able to access the T-con and the top board? if yes please try to isolate which part of the screen is causing the problem by removing the LVDS cable as shown in this video. Once you confirmed which side then you have to find the LC1 and LC2 signal for my case left it should be the same location in the right side, just cut the pads (also shown in this video). If you have multimeter, better to check for lacking or over voltage before cutting the pads. Hope this help.
@@DBifix I ALSO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM, I ACCESSED THE T-CON AND GOT A NEW ONE TO REPLACE IT, BUT I STILL HAVE THOSE VERTICAL LINE DISPLAYING ON MY SCREEN
