I picked one of these up at the Value Village for $5.99. It’s color is off white and grey. As time goes by I’m starting to dig the 90s audio gear more and more.

Look at the DC wall adapter…it’s bigger than the CD player. They used to make quality stuff back then

The mega bass on Sony’s was awesome. I loved it on my Walkman. Glad you said that the CD’s still jumped using the car holder - I always regretted not having one of those, but I don’t feel so bad now. Can you give me the Argos code for those Philips headphones on the bottom left of page 600? I’ll get myself some 😉. They were the best headphones I’ve ever owned.

🤣. I think you really had a decent set of headphones or speakers for the mega mega base 🤣. The car holder was such a faff of wires and stuff, made it look so messy, but at the time car CD players were so expensive and the best way would be to have a CD multichanger.

Great video buddy , I moved from the disc man to mini disc for the car back in the 90s. Was way better as I had stuff suspension in my 4x4 Cosworth so cd would jump like crazy .

Mini disc completely passed me by, I wasn’t in the UK from 97 to 2003, it wasn’t popular in South America. I remember seeing it when I came back to the uk for a visit in 2001 but didn’t pay any attention.

I don’t know, either press the play button again to pause it as they have a play/pause same button in most models

excellent think I had a Panasonic one and I also had that car adaptor 🤣 the good old days 👍🏻 my car at moment its Bluetooth/CarPlay/android auto or radio and I'm hoping I can use flash drive as I'm stopping music subscriptions and going back to cd rips

I only have Amazon unlimited music etc with my prime, but it’s just so easy, too easy actually, sometimes it’s just so nice to handle music on a tangible format.

Pretty much bin it if you can’t get sound after cleaning the headphone socket and the laser lens, these are just too complicated to repair unfortunately

The discman i have is a 1988 Sony d11 a made in japan model had the look i was after sounds great with modern headphones .the best portable i had was a technics from 1985 the worst was a much more modern cheaply made technics and it sounded terrible .

I don’t think Technics are even the same anymore, now cheap companies just stick the names on bankrupt closed companies. It’s like the Hoover brand, it ain’t Hoover anymore or for a long time. Just cheap Chinese rubbish.
