So there is a high possibility that Sony may add Active image stabilization (electronic IBIS) to the Sony FX6 in future firmware update.
So today on a chat with Sony's support team I think they accidentally may have shared more information that what I had expected. At least an indication that active image stabilization is a possibility and it may be cooking at Sony's firmware kitchen as we speak.
The Sony FX6 is a camera of its own league. So versatile, loaded with options, buttons galore and pretty much everything we could've asked for (of course it's not perfect...but close) but there is only one thing that make me rethink carrying this camera for most running and gunning situations where fast turnaround is required. And that is because of how shaky the footage can get when shooting handheld with the Sony FX6.

The Sony FX6 uses the same Processor and sensor as the Sony FX3 and Sony A7siii. So the FX6 is equipped to accept this a firmware that would allow it to have active IS.
This feature alone will make this camera better than ever before.
The Sony FX already has some of the must have such as the electronic ND filter with Auto function, plenty of customization, touch to focus with Firmware 3.00, dual SD card slot, Long battery life, small compact form factor for a camera of its kind.... Enouch of the venting. The Sony FX 6 may be about to become a camera that more content creators could enjoy, especially those that are looking for fast turnaround without the tedious labor of stabilizing footage one by one.
