Sony HDR-CX105E test footage with zooming (1080i original)

Some test footage shot in 1080i full HD using a Sony HDR-CX105E camcorder.
In the beginning you can see how it looks like when you use the full 10x digital zoom while looking out back window of a train going about 90-100 km/h. In the end there are some good looking zooming stuff.

When you have digital zoom, it looks like a Standard Definition camcroder. Upon zooming out, you see the transition from 'ok' quality to 'great'. The colour seeps back in from a washed out image, lines become crisp, and it looks a lot better. A great example of quality in my opinion.

Hi this is superb quality? I am a English filmmaker and next year am shooting a small project in Vietnam, mostly on motorcycles. Therefore we're after something light but great quality. Do you recommend this camera? From what you've shot it here it looks superb value for money? many thanks.

Thanks for the some name :) But I see there, on the movie, some slow down effect. I have the same model of camera and I don't think I have slowing down effect.

I have this camcorder but am finding it very difficult to use due to the codec of ".mts". I downloaded the codec so I could use it on Windows Media Player which works now, but whenever I want to edit anything the videos arn't accepted. Windows Movie Maker, it accepts them but the video is just black. I tried 2 other video editing softwares and they didnt work at all? Any advice? Thanks. Andy

Lost my charger cable. Just checked to see how much a new cable would be. The service people tell me 60 euros/cable!!! I'll never ever buy another sony camcorder again period........... What a rip off.........
