Definitely going to pick these up on a sale. I have Apple's Airpods Max and active noise cancellation is wonderful stuff for people living in an apartment. I'm shocked and excited that Sony is making gaming stuff outside their Playstation brand. Sony makes some good hardware
i still use my MX1000 (2018) wireless headphones although not gaming headset can use 3.5mm jack in controller and man the audio is still incredible and can hear footsteps clear as day.
@@adrianyeager6463 So I had the hs80 pro for 8 months. They have a priblem where unless you tune the dongle frequency you'll get cutting in and out. The glue came off the earpads, and well is the reason I am on this video. However, I purchased the arctis pros and returned them for the sony WH1000xm4s and Though, I really enjoy them I really am looking for surround sound for FPS games and ANC. So far on my research these check that box :D.
Hey! We should not fail to notice how much effort was put in producing this review. As always, truly a gold quality review on headsets and all other tech stuff in this channel. Super awesome and great value content all the time!
I use the Inzone H7 for my ps5 and the Corsair HS80 for my PC. Works out great honestly. I might upgrade to the H9 at some point but I am really really happy with the H7 for PS5.
@@onuridvan I personally like the sound from the H7 better but that’s personal preference. Just has more clean sound and bright while the HS80 are more deeper and warm.
@@onuridvan I think both have been great for fps honestly. The HS80 is really good for PC since I love the Dolby profile you can use with it for fps. They sound amazing. The H7 is probably my preferred choice for ps5 though since they work well with the PlayStation spatial audio tech.
Hi, in my case confort is the most important since I game for extended sessions, but I also play fsp with friends so mic is the 2nd most importa thing, with that been said would you pick the h7 or the corsair, corsair mic sound impressive but how comfy are vs the h7?
The mic on this thing. . . You'd expect more with the price point when something like the Corsair HS80 exists for half the price. Also hate the leather ear pads. Other than that, it's something interesting from Sony.
Actually, its not the price point you should be bothered about, Sony produces professional microphones in the audio industry that are like $1000 plus that studios use, not saying Sony should place an expensive mic capsule in this but they should know better then any other company in this space. Sony is the dumbest company on the planet, their divisions make some of the best products for prosumers and consumers but they can't or refused to mesh them together.
@@ionrage also the playstation line was a smart decision plus the Walkman is iconic and was revolutionary also they made the smart idea of making a video game console that also serves as a DVD and disc player than one that had a built in blu ray player witch is combined two of their great products to make them both better
@@daffyduck4482 thing is, this is not directed at the mass market but the premium, it would be fine if it cost more if it had better components to reflect it. Premium hardware still sells well, so it's a non issue, if people can't afford this, Sony offers a budget model
The Inzone’s are a perfect upgrade for anyone looking for something more then the crappy 3D Pulse headset, but not without its flaws, the only major issues I see with the headset for most people are the mic quality and the price point, other then that it’s a excellent option for PS5 and in my opinion worth $300
I have the H7 and the H9, there is not much difference, but I still prefer the H9 because I find the ear cushions better in the long term. And there is also some noise cancellation.
If I had the choice, I would prefer the SteelSeries Nova PRO since the battery is interchangeable and the mic removable. Yes Corsair HS80 Wireless has a way better mic, but it is also not removable and the battery not interchangeable. A easy changeable battery should be mandatory by law IMHO.
I had the original ps5 headset and they were pretty good but I got these H9 when FF16 came out and luckily I got them on sale for $200. I absolutely love them and definitely a big upgrade compared to the other ones! Comfort m, sound and everything is so much better especially comfort! Only thing I do hate is that I do experience the auto tune crackling sound more often here and there depending on the day.
Can I ask you, did they fix the instant battery low without any warning? Maybe a biep sound? If you do Pc EQ adjustment, does it save it for use on Ps5? Any update from your side would be great. Good and not good points with your experience.
@@giogamer4825 honestly so far they’ve been a great game changer for me. I don’t have a PC and have only used these for my PS5. I haven’t used them at all on PC nor done the EQ settings with them there. I’m currently playing FF16 with them and love it, have not had any issues with battery or low battery warnings but the only issue I have had is that randomly it’ll give a almost autotuned static sound recoil here and there while playing. Tried looking it up but didn’t really get an answer however I did notice that the external hard drive I had connected right next to my PS5 would be a problem, many have said the hard drive messes with the headset/usb dongle adapter Bluetooth connection which my be causing the issue. Overall I’m very happy with them and even more so that I was able to find them at a cheaper deal. Hope this helped
I'm an audio engineer and I love everything about this headset except for the way it sounds. Pretty big deal. I realize that with proper EQ control I could probably tune it to be really nice, though. The bass and highs sound great, but everything from SFX to dialog (the important stuff in a video game) sounds washed and muddy. The software looks like it has enough EQ bands for me to get the job done, buuuuut... no Mac version. I realize this isn't uncommon, but all of the H9's literature calls them Mac compatible. I imagine that means just as a headset. I am only using this headset on my PS5. Now I have to get an old PC out, hope the software installs on it, calibrate from a PC (which is already pretty inconvenient, they're marketed hard at PS5 players so it would be nice to control them fully from the console), then spend some time going back and forth from console to PC fine tuning. They really should've just left the EQ flat (which is what I'm going to try first - I hate how consumer audio always applies some arbitrary coloring that makes the hardware sound worse, that comes from the smiley face EQ pop music theory and engineers already apply that to basically everything now so it's beyond overkill), the bass boost makes it sound terrible and turning it off is a bit overcomplicated. I'm going to do all of that to see if I can get the sound somewhere I like. I got them on eBay open-box for $150. If I can get them sounding good, I know I'll love them. I just might have to take off work to get it done...
Can you sink up the ps5 controller and headset on the PC side. Does it have software for that? I know the PC adapter for the Xbox supports up to 8 devices. I haven't tried if the headset works with it as well. And how it works. iv had a headset that didn't work very good. if it can take voice chat and play audio and do it correct i am all good with that. Just something on the list...
How does the sound quality, ANC and Bluetooth delay compare to Sony wh xm-4 and 5? I just bought xm 4 and now i feel like i should get this one instead and return the xm 4 as i got a week for return
None of the gaming headsets have ANC comparable to expensive music dedicated headphones. But gaming headsets have better software and are programed to be more compatible and precise with surround sound.
I love my HS80 headset… BUT it doesn’t work with Xbox. If I had a good PC to play games on (and didn’t suck at mnk), and didn’t get rid of my PS4, I’d be fine. I got the Series X because of the great deal Microsoft has for it bundled with ultimate game pass, and it was a complete disappointment it’s not compatible with the HS80. :’(
How can you say comfort is great if it's so hot to wear. I wish we got more on-ear open headphones like koss porta pro. Summer is no problem for these!
That mic isn't good enough at this price point. If Corsair can put something out that sounds twice as good for half the price then something isnt right. I know that most wireless mics aren't great, but we should expect better.
Hi people I had these for my ps5 and returned them because this is mainly for PC then ps5 can't use the soft ware for ps5 no removal earpads no attachable mic people pass on these for ps5 you don't get no bells and whistles if you want the best get the arc amp from mayflower and get the senheiser h6 pro open back headphones people people you will thank me latter Dmitri try it you will thank me latter also people if you want the best wireless gaming headphones try the dynamic mg 20 gaming headphones people if you can afford them I just ordered mine today they have the best balance base on the market
Audio-Technica ATH-SR30BTBK costs $104.99 and has voice warning when the battery is low (30 % iirc) and it's not even a gaming headset. Also the battery life is more than 60 hours.
I wish gamers would make us headsets instead of business people. Clearly we need battery life, battery life indication and proper microphone. It's really one of the top features. How Sony doesn't know this?
I’ve just bought mine and the mic is not as bad as I feared. Also a surprise once I updated them via inzone hub - mic sounded better than out-of-the-box (sound feels more full and not so hollow). They are not as good as my old cooler master mh752s, which is kind of obvious. Wired headset will be lighter, sound better with better mic. For a wireless headset inzone h9s are great. They fit my head great, I can wear them for hours and not feel tired. The main con is definitely the lack of inzone hub on ps5. Something to improve for sure.
Hi im about to buy it, i have bought elite headset and im hearing some popping low latency sounds so im thinking to buy h9 could you please tell me how you was your h9 and its cons?
@@petter4216 I honestly can't complain. The clamping force is good, the fabric ear cups give your ears some air and I wear glasses and I am very picky. Also the Corsair support is good. One of my ear cups was falling apart and I got a new pair within a week. Very easy to change too.
Does the corsair support ps5 and iPhone connectivity simultaneously by any chance?? If so I’ll have to get these ones instead of the H9. I love the fact on the h9 I can connect my phone and PS but if the mic sound is really bad no way am I paying nearly £300
I didn't realize it buying the Arctis Nova Pros but the ANC is actually game changing. Especially with the AC on... I couldn't play properly with AC on before. Not surprised to hear Sony ANC is a little better. I had some XM400 or something for a while and you couldn't hear yourself snapping in front of your face. Be interested to see sound quality with the Nova Pros vs this - because for 50 dollars CAD more it seems like you are getting a shit load more with the DAC and the switchable battery on the SteelSeries set. I always hate plugging things in to charge.
I have the Arctis Nova Pro...but man is the ANC absolutely garbage on those...it shouldnt be advertised it THAT bad...it introduces tons of creeky noises and terrible distracting sounds... (tested 2 models already, both the same)
Have you used Astro A50s before? If so, how would you say these compare - specifically with regards to imaging, placement, sonic detail, and audio performance?
I had the wired Logitech g pro x and got the H9 thinking I was upgrading. Nope, they were TERRIBLE. Hands down my $99 G Pro X sounded noticeably better and the mic on the G Pro X coupled with the blue icepop mic sounds night and day better than the H9. I couldn’t even recommend the H9’s even if they were on sale. Stay away from these iterations of Sony headsets, save your money and get something else.
i don't know why many praise the HS80. I use it, yes the mic is amazing. but.....it doesnt have a frickin noise cancellation mic. My friends complain about my end how they can hear everything even my siblings talking. I swap to Razer Blackshark v2 pro, which on paper, is a downgrade ( and the frickin micro usb lol ). But hey, it Fixes the problem immidiately. lol. But for me, the best Wireless gaming headset i use to own, hands down still the JBL Quantum 800. It feels weird why no big youtubers covers it yet. There a new version coming out, quantum 810.
Just bought the H7 for $150 on black Friday and it was the perfect headset for me with a external mic and living alone so no need for ANC. If i want ANC i just use my XM3s instead ;)
I didn't even know the Arctis Nova Pros had it before I bought them. I have not turned it off since I got them. I stopped caring about trying to undervolt my 3080 so that it would stop howling because it does not matter any more if you cannot hear it. You don't need to blast the volume as much to hear the footsteps.
As far as I'm aware Sony wants to get more into Gaming stuff in the future. First Gaming product I see from them & I hope to see way more of them, since I pretty much love their often uniquely designs & quality of their products.
@@ThirAilith nope it's not about gaming. They want to get into ESPORTS. It's why they bought EVO and are doing monitors etc. It's all about the exploding esports scene.
How loud an environment do you need to live in for ANC to even be a factor for gaming headsets? Having ANC on will always have a noticeable impact on audio quality and resolution (as the drivers are constantly playing inverted soundwaves as well as the audio you want to hear) - it isn't something you want on unless you need it. Unless you actually need ANC whilst gaming, you are paying for a feature that is ideally turned off...
100%. Its a big clunky mic. I was thinking if someone bought these and deteached the mic if the whole headset would still work. I have a pair of steel series where the mic winds up in the headset. Never use it....ever. I have a standing desk mic. If i could figure out how to disconnect the mic and remove it and not break it. I would lol.
There does not exist a PU leather product that wont peel in a couple years. That and the microphone....this is just landfill waste waiting to be delivered.
Hey! Does H9 support the sounds from the top/sky channels? Or just support 360 surround sound (not support 720)? And, If I use a DAW, such as Nuendo or Reaper, to connect to H9, how many output channels can I get through the ASIO interface?
I got the Corsair HS80 and had to return them because one of the earcup sounded louder than the other and the iCue software (bloatware) is terrible. Reduced my performace by half. Uninstalling the software worked but whats the use of them without the software?
I f**king hate playing in "Stereo" for games. It's abhorrent to not have sound coming in full surround. Just sound cutting in and out from left and right. It's unnatural AF. When you only hear sound in the left ear cup, so what you became deaf in the right ear and then switches. HRTF virtual surround is a must for me. I use Sennheiser surround.
Wow that mic quality is atrocious. Honestly a dealbreaker in a package that should be an all-in-one solution. Happy I went with the epos H6 Pro, which only lacks a little in power and that's mainly cause my hearing is bad.
Hope In the next head set they make the mic removable and make the head set look aesthetic for more personal life use cus I would really like to buy this but I don’t wanna be walking around with a mic and huge ass ear cups
I bought these, and the only issue is the price, and them going on sale soon. I won’t take a hit when they could have priced these better. I’m happy with the sound quality, but with the mic not being, no MacOS Support, and when it’s turned off from the PS5 it doesn’t disconnect from the PS5. So you have to manually go into settings on the PS5 to disconnect it. Otherwise no audio until then. I will return it for a hopeful sale in the near future.
