This happened to my 55x8509c yesterday, I've had it since April 2016. I unplugged everything from it, plugged it elsewhere and it continued to flash 6 times after leaving it. It's now working (pretty slowly) this morning. I wonder if it's fixed itself or if it's done lol
Is there anyone in the UK you can recommend for this type of repair and what should I expect to pay? Or is it a job I can do myself with the right tools?
Make sure you tighten the 11 black screws that bolts the backlight plate down before you put the diffuser back as these screws come loose very common on these Sonys
Before i take my tv apart, i need to ask; is there more than one set of led strips on this tv? Or is there only backlight leds on the top edge as shown in this video? Flickering on my tv backlight was only on the left hand side of the screen after about 4 hours of the tv being on, is there a way to test these LEDs?
Very helpful video, thanks a lot. I just did the repair but after that the upper part of the screen is much darker than the lower part. Maybe I did some mistakes with assembling one of the foils. Have you some advice? Thanks and best regards
@@WeFixTvs I have solved the problem. While assembling I switched the plexiglass panel. After reassembling it's working perfect! Best tip is to test the screen before assembling the case! Regards
I got a quote for a repair 350 plus because the t con board blew too. Absolutely gutted as my mam just came home from hospital and now I’ve no tv in the sitting room for her
My set is working fine for ~3 hours, then shuts off with 6 blinking lights. Works fine again after cooldown period.. Service menu says backlight issue it doesn't make sense.
@@WeFixTvs jakim cudem ledy dzialaja kilka godzin zanim TV sie wylaczy? Nigdy sie z tym nie spotkalem, backlight albo dzialal albo nie, a tutaj za kazdym razem taka reakcja. To edge-lit wiec byloby widac golym okiem ze ktoras dioda padla
