But how would it benefit XBOX? They'd be selling the console at a loss to give gamers access to steam games which they wouldn't profit from. Games that would also run better on PC with their sliders.

3:15 The fact that Ponies are crying over this show that they care more about the box than the games on the box. Having a competing storefront on your platform is a big deal. This would be great for gamers but it could be very bad for Xbox. There is a serious risk that console games would switch entirely to Steam. Even if Microsoft charges Valve a fee, they could decide to just make their own console to avoid the fee.
why does no one just buy a pc if you can afford a $500 box while paying monthly subscription fees while also buying $70 games you can get a pc just save up plus pc parts are getting cheaper and games are way cheaper and you can play xbox games, playstaion games and have games pass if you want to pay for subscriptions
Microsoft doesn't need to dominate the console hardware market, just like it doesn't need to dominate the PC hardware market because their hardware exists for only one reason, to facilitate their software. That strategy has made them the #1 company in the world by people who rank such things.

Weird isn't it? They are just boxes that play games. Most of what you want is on Steam, Epic, and GOG. A few other things on Nintendo Switch that work better under Suyu and Ryujinx on PC than on Switch. I don't understand this Sony vs Nintendo rivalry.

Xbox runs on a DirextX, PC is also running on the same API DirectX. In technical terms, Xbox is budget PC. They are coping hard that a game console doing what a game console what it should be.
I'll tell you this much if XBox allows Gamers to have access to both PC and Xbox games then this is definitely going to make people want to buy an Xbox because it's just be honest PlayStation is probably not going to want to do that and people have access to 32000 PC games having more choices and being able to play those games using a next-gen Xbox controller. Even PlayStation games on PC will probably be even playable using an Xbox controller.

Do you guys know it's not a console anymore you guys are buying a PC Next Generation. So branded as an "Xbox" but it's a PC. That's why you're allowed to buy PlayStation games because it is a PC. Just letting the console players know. You are vulnerable at bad PC Ports, Troubleshooting, and some games that don't launch from desktop, Time exclusive on consoles, Controller Vs keyboard and mouse, a lot more high chance of viruses and hackers.

Well, if it helps the ponys sleep better. Sony does have to sign off on their first party titles to appear on Xbox via another company's digital storefront. But they don't have control over the third party games though. I would guess the third parties would need to sign off on that as well. But hey, there's almost zero cost in converting to an Xbox version of the game considering the Xbox is Windows OS. And if they're streaming it, then there's no extra work for Sony or third parties as well. So why leave all that extra money on the table? just let the Xbox help make your money! lol. No different to Sony releasing their games on a PS4/PS5 or Nintendo releasing their games on a WiiU/Switch. Different devices but all within their ecosystem. PC isn't Sony's ecosystem and is no different to them releasing their games on Switch or Xbox that also isn't their ecosystem. Ratchet Rift Apart is already on PC btw, and Spiderman 2 is following later this year. Although through the Insomniac leaks, a build of Spider-Man 2 is already playable on PC.
Their software and sup is up , they do not care about console sales bc it makes not money , they do not push hardware at all like Sony or Nintendo , they are not a hardware company but software which is where the money is coming from
