Hi Chuck, the combination of better contrast, improved brightness, and far better processing power for improved management of all the technologies creating the picture has the 8100 as a clear winner vs. their prior offerings, based on what we see. You're right that HDR is headed in an exciting direction, but the vendors won't stand still in their quest to also make even better projectors
Sony prices are a joke, no 3d at this price point is a joke, gamma shift is a joke soap opera motion is a joke. I mean who buys sony I don’t know. Jvc is a much better choice. Also epson is very overpriced for what it is. Non 4k, poor P3 coverage, no 3d and dynamic tone mapping was just introduced with QB1000 for 6.000? I mean wtf wake up.
