Retractable microphone. AI noise cancelling. New planar audio drivers that are currently some of the best audio tech on the market for better sound quality than the neodymium drivers on the pulse. Dual device connectivity (bluetooth and pslink). playstation link for better party chat signal and nearly triple battery life, and comes with a charging hook. On the other hand, the pulse is lighter, all audio buttons are located on the headset, unlike the elite which links its audio settings to the ps5 UI, and the pulse is more plug and play where the elite has a bit of set up to get its full potential out, not to mention a bit heavier. All in all it's a significant tech upgrade for a marginal price increase by comparison, but maybe not worth the upgrade if you already have a pulse.

@@showtime2544 They really do. lol. Since I mainly use PCVR2, I’m going with an IEM for my audio solution. I was going to try the pulse explorers but I just don’t trust Sonys PS audio devices. Those also got really bad reviews. I’m getting the Truthear Crinacle Zeros. They’re only $50 but apparently will blow this headset out of the water with its audio capability.

The microphone is definitely better. The AI noise canceling is some of the best on the market and the boom mic will capture your voice much better than the built in mic in the pulse. That said, it's nowhere near studio quality, and most twitch streamers that value mic quality will get a dedicated microphone rather than a mic extension on some headphones. If you're serious about twitch streaming, the mic quality here will be a temporary upgrade before getting a better set-up. Otherwise it's more than sufficient.

The mics better than the pulse 3d, but its still horrible. Its peaky and generally really thin and boxy sounding. Its mic is better but still quite garbage. Id personally not go for a gaming headset, but rather get a cheap xlr mic (behringer c-3 is a great choice), audio interface (most usb interfaces will do a decent job) and a sennheiser hd560s. Its more expensive but way more worth it for the sound and reliability. It doesnt introduce latenency due to it being all wired, and if you can afford a 120ohm DAC for the HD560s, the sound quality from the headphones will be amazing! You can still smash these headphones out of a normal soundcard, just dont expect heaps of volume
