Friendly reminder that this is a SHOWCASE and not a REVIEW Therefore there is little to no criticism here Although as an owner I can confirm they're amazing
They do sound amazing and their noise canceling tech is the best of the category but could not make it work smoothly in any computer (either Mac or windows)... sound stutters too much. Also not good on windy days as you can hear the wind hitting them
@@augustocdias In my experience, it depends on the Bluetooth chip in the system. Although typically the range is utterly garbage by comparison. Though I've had similar issues with other headphones
To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. ru-vid.comUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.
I've had these for a couple weeks now. They are mostly great: - Excellent sound quality - Fairly comfortable - Love the long battery life and case recharging - Decent amount of noise cancelling: fairly good at removing the lows, struggles to remove the highs. -- - Fit isn't tight enough to wear them working out IMO - No weather proofing - The symmetrical shape makes it a bit tricky to know how to orient them in your ear and case, if you take them off
as an Audio Engineer, I interpreted this feature as something that was not applicable to almost any mp3's. Basically the feature they included is easy to code for so they threw it in even tho there are barely any use cases. It sounds cool and makes you expect all your music to sound good so good overall ROI on the feature creation from Sony. Linus probably knew that and didnt wanna throw them under the bus so he was polite about it.
That's not bad either, the case is basically a battery backup and storage for the earbuds (so they don't get lost), all in a package small enough to comfortably slip in your pocket. There's definitely areas where it can be improved, even if it's not as many as in the earbuds themselves.
Bruh I just got these for christmas, and I LOVE them!!! I just wish there was a way to have ambient sound AND volume control on the same bud. Or volume and playback. Just so I could have ambient sound, playback, and volume without having to use my phone. Other than that. It's good.
Hey Darkhawk, could you pls tell me how the call quality is? I've been using these for the past couple of months and I have an issue with the Ambient noise kicking in every time I am on a call making it difficult for the person on the other end to hear my voice. Please let me know your experience. Thanks in advance.
@@AN007RS I have the same issue, it's rather annoying actually. If people are vocal enough about it, they could potentially have an option to toggle it

I literally bought these less than 24 hours ago.. they are AMAZING especially if you use Tidal. The 360 Reality is shockingly awesome. Noise cancelation is one of the best I have heard. Great frequency response. I enjoy them more than my wired over the ear headphones that cost $300
A year later and I'm still happy with this purchase. The ANC lets you listen to music on lower volume than ambient noise and it blocks it out nicely. It can give you a lot of focus or peace in crowded places. I used them to study at my uni's public areas and all was good.
I own these & I have to say the sound quality is one of the best I have heard on in-ear headphones. I have hardly, if ever, been disappointed by any Sony product I have owned so far.
@@fat_smeagol4811 I have used it from time to time for calls & it's been generally good enough. People on the other end have been able to hear me clearly & I haven't heard of any issues from the other side. I have generally used it in places with crowds.
I got mine for christmas, and i am actually a bit disappointed by the noice cancelling, I have also had the jabra 65t and in my opinion the passive noice cancelling on them were better than the anc on the sonys
@@oliverdybdal3818 find the ear tip that fits ur ear the most, maybe those doesn't fit ur ear. And also anc work best cancelling out low frequency. Try to walk along the road with it and u will know how amazing it is. I have the jabras too, and I have the same problem as u before changing the eartips
@Brad Hilton Senheisser is also on deep discount now because of this. Dropping to basically same price from higher MSRP. Imo, the thing is basically a really fine TWS, one of the best, and priced correctly enough compared to others on same tier. Only Galaxy Buds paired with a Galaxy phones can match this, and Galaxy Buds lose alot on battery and the sound is quite smaller.
@@zhang_gaming true, I got my sister a pair of wh510 (the cheap Bluetooth over-ears) and they also have like 30 hours of battery. Sony is just on another level when it comes to audio I have to admit
@@patois I honestly haven't noticed any big drops, I haven't really measured the change though. Having the case to put them in you hardly ever get to a point where they're completely dead anyway, which is also good for the battery. I've had them turn off while using them maybe like 5 times because of dead batteries, which really isn't a lot. They're still going strong!
the case is definitly too big, they should fit in my pocket without me noticing them, if i'm caring them in my bag i take my headphones with me, also they are nit sweat resistent

I've been using these for a couple of months now. The noise cancelling works really well on the bus etc. It however kind of makes the sound quality worse, but turning ANC off makes them sound REALLY good actually.
If these are anything like the over-ears, they must be amazing. I've had my wx-1000mx3's for a year, and I absolutely love them to death. I couldn't imagine cramming for finals without them.
Can confirm. These buds are like nothing else I have ever heard. Listening to a high quality FLAC version of Dark Side of the Moon with these is just simply amazing. I haven't really noticed any downsides, except the tips. I bought some aftermarket Comply foam TrueGrip tips and it completely changed the game for me. I primarily use them while at work and after a couple hours of use, I stick them back in the case and over the course of my 30 min - an hour lunch break they are fully charged again so I never really have to worry about them dying on me. Not to mention even after days of use without charging the case, I still haven't had to worry about any issues with the life span of the charge. I usually only use one bud at a time while working and I love that if one of the buds dies while at work, I can just stick the other one in and keep on listening. Couldn't ask for a better pair of wireless earbuds in my opinion. Buying these prompted me to go through my music library and replace all my music with high quality FLAC files because the quality is just unrivaled at this point. I haven't tried Sonys over ear version. But, these are definitely the best sounding headphones that I have ever used.
These were the first where I was like: yeah, this is good enough to replace my wired in-ears. 1) great sound, kinda small sound stage but clear mids and tight bass. 2) ANC works well in some cases. talking it struggles with but airconditioning and other noises it really dampens. wind shear reduction mode also works great on the bike 3) they fit well for me 4) battery is very good if you don't max volume, and I barely go over mid volume. I'm quite happy with them. pairing is also quick and they both have their own connection. no slave-master.
I like these new video formats, idk if it's just me but i feel like previous tech reviews were a lot longer, whereas these are simple and to the point. Only like 5 minutes too, keep this format for reviews.
@@jdbarrera I'm from The Netherlands so that's not gonna help much :p Prices in The Netherlands and the US on these products are often identical in the begin (before the real market workings - supply/demand - take place).
I've had them 3 months, I was looking at getting the WH-1000XM3 after watching LTT's comparison video sometime before but I was put off by their bulk, I think any over-the-head headphones are showy really not my style. Then when I saw that there was a bud-style true-wireless option I knew what I had to get. I had a bad experience at first and had to send them for repair (that's a long story as I live in China) but they are great, having first thought they were large I no longer notice them, I get many hours listen time, even though I keep the noise cancelling on full all the time as the switching of the modes was annoying and noise cancelling is very useful here. Before I bought these the most I'd paid for headphones was £40 twenty years ago and that pair lasted me a long time, but the sound quality on these blew my mind. I've heard all sorts of new instrument and vocal sounds on music I've listened to hundreds of times previously. I love these and want to protect them as best as possible, I will be gutted if they get smashed or lost, I bought a silicone sleave at first but that was very thin and held onto dust. I searched JD and Taobao the two main shopping sites in China and I bought the best option, I would love to share this with you but I can't find it available anywhere else.
I have xm4 over head, fantastic sound, yoy place them on your head and you go to you Phantasie land, noise canceling is just perfect, I live in Germany, and every here and then an ambulance (Krankenwagen) passing by too laud, with them I cannot hear them at all, 😂. and I just find these bad boys on sale for 99€ on Amazon.
I've had these for about a month now. Got a review sample from a friend and yes, they are wonderful for music. Superb even. HOWEVER, the microphone does not block ambient sounds while on a call, resulting in my friends hearing nothing than street noises. I know nobody's gonna read this, but if you have a solution to this (probs it's a software function), do write it down in the comments, pls
Linus, how effective are these with noisy power tools at protecting ears? Jack hammers, heavy hammer drills, etc. Ear protection that looks and sounds good so builders and engineers can use their phones and keep working.
Would be great if you could do a dirty hands phone review. Painters, mechanics, plasterers and loads of other jobs are not done in clean offices. What's the best features and options for these people?
I work in a warehouse where machines are always running and my coworkers like playing loud music, with the buds noise cancelling youre really in your own world with how good it is
The over ear ones are fantastic. When i first started using them i put the microwave on and stood there listening to some tunes, then about ten minutes went by and i said to myself 'what are you just stood about in the kitchen for, go and sit on the couch and listen to your tunes you dumb fuck' because the sound of the microwave had totally vanished lol.

Im using the sony over ear headphones and let me tell you they sound amazing, and I've been using sony products forawhile and when it comes to sound quality, you can never go wrong. Pretty sure these buds are a major go 👍
I've had these for over a month. Before i got them, I thought the noise cancelling was a gimmick i wasnt gonna use too much because i didnt really care about background noise and didnt want to sacrifice audio quality. HOWEVER, I found myself using the ANC feature pretty much everywhere that was noisy. It really cancels out a lot of noise and doesn't noticeably affect audio quality. It makes you feel more immersed in the music, like you are in a movie scene with no sound effects but the music. The mic isnt as bad as they say, I've never had anyone tell me they cant understand what im saying when im in a call with these or playing Pubg. Sound quality is definitely top notch. Extremely clear sound, I am hearing things in songs that I had not noticed before. The bass isn't forced or overpowering. It is a natural and clear sounding bass, unlike the boosted lows of the Jabra Elite 65T that i previously owned. On my Jabras, i also experienced a slight static sound even when i wasnt playing any media. However, these dont suffer from thay issue or any bluetooth connectivity issues. The battery life is overkill. I have never gone below 50% battery on these and I have gone over a week without charging them (with pretty heavy usage.) Here are the cons: The fit. you gotta stick these really far into your ear for the best sound and comfort, otherwise you will feel the weight of them kind of hanging out your ear. Everytime i put them on, i take like 10 seconds adjusting them to fit perfectly. you are supposed to insert them and twist them 90° degrees so that they line up parallel to the ground if you are looking straight. Touch controls are also a little hard to get used to because i find i often forget where the sensor is and i tap other parts of the earbud that dont do anything
I spent 5 mins of my life watching an ad for the headphones I was using while watching the video... They are pretty good though in all honesty for in ears
I just bought these for like $142 and i have to say its leaps and bounds ahead of anything ive used. Sound quality is just amazing and the noise cancelling is the best thing when youre on the walk back home.
I've been using this earphones for like 1 month and I couldn't be happier with the noise cancelling, for such small earphones they really cancel a lot of noise especially in public transport.
3:52 Placing the hands over the earbuds won’t activate the pass through Instead you’d need to tap and hold the earbud (the earbud with ambient noise applied) for pass through to work
I recently flew from Chicago Ohare International to Munich Germany and had to recharge them once at the end of my 10 hour flight. Extremely comfortable.
Having tried them both, it's more or less up to preference. My opinions are. Sony: Better Sound, slightly better ANC and a better seal in my Ear. Also type C is a good bonus. Apple: Better Battery, better comfort and more compact. Has wireless charging. Better connectivity when using apple. TL:DR if you use an iPhone get the airpods. If you use other devices get what fits and sounds best for you.
@@carlangelo653 for me even as an android user the airpod pros beat the Sony's in every aspect. The Sony's aren't bad at all, and if you hate apple then they are probably the next best thing.
Go to rtings.com, they’ve reviewed both of them and are one of the only few who objectively reviewed their sound profile and noise isolation with standardised and comparable testing procedures.
@@thanksskeletor4812 I'd personally pick the Airpods for the convenience, but I much preferred the sound of the sony, plus they gave me better fit and isolation.
I have used the WF-1000XM3 for 2 - 3 months now, and they rock! Before I had the WF-1000X, that I lost (lucky me, as that was the reason to buy the much better WF-1000XM3!!!). But it is a good choice to review the WF-1000XM3 now, as after 2 months as they have now added volume control and more to the firmware.
“Finding the right size ear tips is key” Still haven’t managed to find right one despite ordering £20 smart core tips and trying all the originals. No idea how high end ear buds supposed to sound -_-
Feanor Chris It’s not about the quality really the seal is meant to ensure that the noise cancelling effect is in full effect. So if you can’t tell a difference when the noise cancelling is on or off then the ear tip is probably too small. Best way to test this is by having a constant noise (like a tv) and turning on and off the noise canceling. You should be able to tell a diff to bc trust Sony does a great job with the noise canceling

Wish this wasn't sponsored so I can hear an opinion on how well these extra features work. Hope to see a head to head with Airpods Pro and other high end in ears!
I've used them in light rain without issues but in reality, I am protective cause there is no official rating, they do have excellent build quality and I don't doubt that sweat will have an effect on them, the noise-canceling though is very very good, I got so used to it I thought at one point it wasn't working cause sudden noises kept coming, I switched the noise canceling off and heard so much more of what was around me, you forget how good it is.
If Sony actually sponsored videos like these for advertisements, they would have sold more when it was released lol. I had these for months now, I can actually say that they build really good. The case fell in 3 elevation plant and took the hit like a champ with only scratches.

ANC is nice but it should be noted that the cancelling of noice doesn’t eliminate the sound waves your ears are receiving. This can accelerate hearing loss if you’re listening loud for long periods of time.
Watched this using my ones of these. Like Linus said, make sure you use the correct size tip. I just used the ones that were on by default (they fitted pretty well still, if a tiny bit loose) for the first few days and the bass wasn't great and neither was the noise cancelling. Changed them out for some slightly larger ones from the selection that fit perfectly and the bass is much better and noise cancelling much improved compared to with the originally used tips.

im late to the party... got these 2 months ago... absolutely love them! the design and sound quality is superb... but the case also charges the headphones multiple times so if you are away from a power outlet you should have around 24 hours combined play time... i got these for a steal from my Network in UK... i had wanted them for almost 2 years but now im very happy to finally use them day to day... they really are the best headphones i have used to date... 5/5! A++
I have these and the only two gripes is that unless it's perfectly in place after a few hours your ears might feel it and second being no official waterproof rating, outside of that the APP has been updated to show battery levels for the case and earbuds, the sound quality and adjustment for the average listen is far above average quality, like very good and bass is surprisingly good. I love these and if they released a version with a waterproof rating, I'd buy them without a second thought, they are that good.
I recently got these and the experience so far has been great. The larger battery and quick charge was one of the main reasons it put it over the air pods pro. The audio and noise canceling is awesome as well. The only gripe I had with them during my first week with them is that the battery level on the app was not always accurate. Sometimes it would say my battery level was 70% on only one ear bud, while they had been charging all day. Then 5min later the level on the app would change and it would be all good. I recently don’t experience this software issue anymore but it’s just notable. Don’t let that take away from the earbuds, it was just a tiny bug u thought was weird.
What about a battery life test? This is literally the most important spec to consumers. Real life actual run time! Why more paid reviewers don’t cover this spec in more detailed depth is beyond me!
