@@ZenithClarityI guess they changed. I got a $2k Sony Bravia tv back in like 2008 and im still using it. Just started having problems this month. It turns on and turns off and then again turns on and then it runs normal
Very well organized and informative. As someone who doesn’t buy a new TV very often I find myself overwhelmed by the cryptic model numbering systems used by different manufacturers. This video helped me to understand the various Sony models lines and make a decision about which one was right for me.
I love Sony so much 😍in fact it is my favourite electronics company… i remember back in the day when flat LCD TVs were invented my grandparents used to have the newest Sony Bravia. I loved that TV so much and many years later they gave it to me so i could play my ps3 on it… i still own it and after all these years it still works just fine
Best guide on youtube about all these new models, amazing work mate, thanks! I was planning on the X85L but seeing the step up in features and tech on the X90L convinced me to safe up a bit more cash and go for that one.
@@smarthomesounds Only issue I just found out they skipped 75" model for the x90L which is what I was aiming for, the 85" is that more expensive that the jump to the mini led 75" higher end model is too close so again... gotta work harder and longer for that one lol...
I'm waiting to see if the Sony A95L wins the shootout before I make a decision. I have the A90J which I am totally content with so if the A95L doesn't win its no big deal.
Really helpful. Took me a lot in reading on Sony website to figure a few things out. This video summarises everything really well. Wish I had come across this before spending all that time reading.
I would love to see a video on home cinema speaker setup value/mid/premium recommendations for the flagship TVs of the year, ie. LG G3 & Sony A95L. Especially given both of these act as a centre channel in the right set ups. Personally I’m considering the G3 and interested in value/mid recommendations for a setup that works well with this TV, taking advantage of using the TV as a centre channel.
Thank you! Hands down the most helpful video on choosing a Sony TV. I learned more in the first 5 minutes of this video than in all my other research and video viewing combined. So incredibly helpful; THANK YOU!!
My Bravia 65” freezes at least once a week requiring you to unplug it to reset it. They downloaded a patch to fix and it helped but still happens. Also, you will drop the remote control often. It’s so thin that you can only get your finger tips on it.
Awesome information. I’m sure this would help many people like me who’s been looking for the details and differences between these models! Great job and very thankful! 🙏
How can you say A95L is the best panel of the bunch when it suffers from serious burn-in problems like most other OLED panels as shown by RTINGS endurance testing? VA panels are still the only long term choice for a gamer, sports enthusiast, and creative power user where the screen deals with a lot of static images.
Hi I want to buy the Sony Bravia XR as I have a Sony PS5. Thanks in advance but I have 3 questions before I buy… Question 1) I only have space for only a 50” or a 55" so which one is better out of the 2? Question 2) I heard that OLED was the best so if the Sony Bravia XR is made for the PS5 then why is the Bravia XR only LED and not OLED or doesn’t it matter? Question 3) I use a Digital Audio Optical TOSLINK cable from the TV or Mac and plug it into my amp for 7.1 sound. Does the Sony Bravia XR 50” and 55” have a output socket for a Digital Audio Optical TOSLINK Cable? This one is a make or break for me if it hasn’t got one then I won’t buy it.
Oh my!! A science degree required what are they thinking with all These names 😮 I have a tv on watch on a site but now need to go and decipher exactly what it is..thanks for clearing this up very helpful 👍
Many thanks for the positive feedback. Hopefully this comment gets a few likes and we can work with Sony more closely like they do with other influencers to create even better content for you 👍
6:26 I enabled Enhanced signal mode on my X75WL and plugged my PS5 into HDMI 3, which is the eARC port but why is it still on HDMI 2.0? My PS5 on 4K HDR is saying the colour range is YUV422 due to HDMI 2.0 transfer speed limitations
Thanks for the info on SONY TVs , as it happens , I have just started looking into another SONY . You gave a good presentation ,with the info I actually needed .
Thanks for providing some transparency on that subject. I really like the picture of my 6 Year Old Sony LED TV and am looking for a new TV. Only thing holding me back from going Sony again is that I have such a buggy experience. The software on my Sony TV is amazingly bad, truly and utterly fascinatingly bad. I wonder if they have gotten better in the meantime.
@Smart Home Sounds, can you please make a video comparing maybe non-similar technology TVs such as x90L vs G2? I know one is full array LED and one is OLED so there are some very obvious differences, but in practice how much difference would there be? How perceivable is it? As due to the newer version launches, in many places the OLED of last year is costing same as the full array LED of this year, or OLED of last year 65" costs same as full array LED of 75" last year, so it might be helpful.
Bro, this was an awesome video. I'm no dummy when it comes to tv's, but I still feel I learned a bit from this video, especially about the different models. Good job! 😮🎉
Hi, Is it possible to sideload APKs on the Sony X90L 85 inch since it is running Google TV and it has an android OS behind it? Or Sony can add something to block APK?
I am torn between a80l and x90l in 55”, plan to change my 49” samsung ks7500 in my bed room which can be bright due to south facing windows, but not directly facing the tv, what do you suggest? I’m afraid a80l will be too dim, while side by side in store i like a80l, no x95l in 55” and a95l is not avail here
Which one is better: KD-50X75WL or KD-50X89J ? Regarding where it sits in the range: Please help me understand why the KD-50X75WL is newer/more expensive than the older/cheaper KD-50X89J when it seems like the opposite should be true, i.e. you'd expect the range to go upwards from the 70's to the 80's.. not the other way around. I'm so confused about the range numbers.
@@gocawot4165 after researching a bit more I have found that X90L is vastly superior than X90K. Same should be the case for X90S. So please don't buy 2022 model.
Very well done, thx! I could use a bit of help: My next TV will go into a medium-small room, usually dark; I will be 6-8 ft from the screen. I'd like a 55" unit. I usually view movies (streaming), some news, some sports, misc. Aside from price, which Sony would best fit this scenario? Thx!!
Hello. Is there a reason why to have 4 hdmi 2.1?? Do we actually need more than 2 hmdi 2.1 outputs? Im looking for new tv and looking at the a95l 77 inch
I have an important question. I twice ordered XR55x90k, the product of 2022, cause it was cheaper. Both have squeaking/whistling noise when turning the brightness up. Is this normal? Its a bit disturbing, so i consider to buy a KD-modell.
*Question: the X75WL with 65 size, how bad is the back light bleeding? I used to have LG UR8000 and the bleeding in black scenes was horrible, so can anyone tell me about X75WL ? Thanks.*
thank you for this vid. i'm on the fence about which Bravia TV i'm looking to get, was going to get an X85L but think i'm going for the X90L instead. ticks more boxes
For Sony X75WL, Is it possible to use voice commands on this TV? Only those of Google Assistant or also through the Alexa app? A heartfelt thank you to anyone who can answer me!
So I was also looking at your 2022 video. Do you think getting the X85K or X90K version from last year is still worth it? I've found some good deals. Around $200-$250 cheaper. Plus, I see no significant upgrades.
Wonderfuk video ...I have a doubt.... please do give suggestions....i currently have sony A8F 55 inch OLED bought on 2018...its in good condition.... seeing all this new tech made me think should i replace my tv.... which tv to buy...i was thinking about getting 77inch sony A95L....should i change..I use the tv mainly for movies and tv and streaming...I like to watch HDR content.... not interested in gaming....i have Samsung q950A sound bar purchased by 2021....will A95L go well with that too....thanks in advance..
Best video by far! I can’t thank you enough. Here is my confusion if you or anyone else here can advise me. I need for streaming movies and music through Apple TV + HomePods pair and gaming on PS5. 4K streaming, Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision, IMAX support is a must because Apple TV supports all of that. I really don’t need of its own OS, its own speakers (except during gaming perhaps if I ever don’t put on my Bose headphones). A95L is heard to be coming not before September, but I need to buy within July. Or if anyone else has heard it to be coming sooner than I know. A95K is QD-OLED too but it’s first generation. So, it kind of worries me. Burn-in issue is also on my mind. X95L is mini-LED which I think is better than OLED yet not as modern technology as QD-OLED. Please suggest me. Thanks so much.
Thanks for the comment! As far as we have heard, the A95L will be later in the year. From our testing the A95K has been a brilliant TV and there is a lot of tech involved to ensure it'll be great for a long time to come. That would be my suggestion 👍🏻
I only missed the refresh rates im looking for a good 55 inch whas watching for a a95k where some sayd it whas 120 hrz and some sayd 100 hrz now did i notice the a80l whas in the same price range only oled and not mini led im still tinking wich one to pick im changing from a old lg full hd tv soo its a massive upgrade 😂 but got a ps5 and the net game interface from the L series is a consider or see what the a95L will cost
Amazing video! Very good job well done!! By the looks of it, I'll search for the A80L... even though something tells me my jaw will drop when I'll see the prices for it. LOL
Because I have a small apartment, I went with that Bravia KD-50X77L. I've had a Bravia for years prior and this one just fit better than the Samsung models.
@@sukhdevr3489 the speakers built into the bottom of the tv are just ok. But recommend getting a home theater system for sure. But from what I've been researching. Most tech channels don't recommend home theater speaker packages. Do your homework/research. I kept my Yamaha speakers but upgraded the receiver to todays models.
