You really did it like you didn't feel like doing it... At least that was my impression. I wanted to find out if I could connect this tv to the regular antenna? And of course I want the apps too, so, do I need to set up everything via app on the phone? Am I connected via Google app on my phone to the tv all the time? It would have been great if you could show us the other option too... Otherwise, you know, setting up is self explanatory, you just click yes and next, whatever but knowing more about other option and how this TV looks like at the back? I still don't know.... And of course I know this video was about set up but it would have been a really nice touch if you showed this tv how it looks like at the back too... and it would have been helpful for people. 🙂
Nice set up video. But I'm looking for demos of using your voice only to control the tv and get to the specific program you want to watch. So far no youtube videos show this. I'll keep looking.
How i can turn on the display of the dolbyvision logo like on Android tv (top tight ) ? And how i can prevent the tv to go to the sleep mode when i watch a video on VLC ? (All energy mode are off)
I have a KD-85x85k set-up like "basic tv". I have no google account connected. I can't seem to find the TV with my fuction of "Smart View" on Samsung S21. So I can't do screen mirroring. For windows laptop aswell. I wanted to connect wirelessly for PowerPoint etc. I can't find a solution. If ypu have some windows devices and Samsung/Android phones would you show a step by step? U have Samsung Galaxy s21. Turn on ur Sony tv then tab smartview on ur s21 and wait for ur Sony tv to pop up… if no go then restart both phone and Sony tv. S21 uses direct miracast connection not home wifi network like airplay.
Hopefully a question you can kindly answer, if you know the answer. We have a new Sony Bravia. When we got Geek Squad to install it, I had choices of Basic TV or Google TV, and I selected Basic TV, only because we have DISH, Netflix and Prime Video. I recently installed Google TV myself. BUT now when I turn on the TV, Google TV is the Default, and it's a real pain trying to get over to our Joey and DISH, as I sometimes have to turn the tv off and on. Since we watch DISH more than use Google TV, is there a way to set DISH as the Default? Like it was before I set up Google TV? Thanks in advance, if anyone knows the answer.
@@ItsZedK There's actually two different ones that show up on the initial screen which is the Google TV screen. Most times, when I click on either one, and I have tried both one click and two clicks or input pushes on my tv remote, and it shows "no input". Then it says to hit the 123 button on my Sony remote, and that doesn't do squat. At infrequent times, it works. But on other times, I have to turn the tv off and on a couple times for that to work. ALL I want to do is get the tv to OPEN UP first ON my Dish tv portion, since I haven't even tried to use Google TV. Had I known that, I might not have even done it, as I dont want it as my Default. We have the Best Buy Total Tech plan so I think it's time to call them! Plus when they set it up, they didn't ask me enough questions where I coulda then made that choice at that time. @@ItsZedK I think I have it figured out, so that I don't have to go through 10 steps to get to my Dish Joey. It was a total "hit and miss" effort. Part of it was using the Sony remote to turn the tv on and also the "TV button" on that same remote after I scroll down to the TV Icon within Google TV home screen. I still want to contact Best Buy and ask them how I can get my Dish Joey to come up as my Default. Thought I'd follow up on my previous note back to you, so thanks again.
We have a Sony that was setup to come on with basic TV that is a our cable provider. Some kinda way we now have Google TV as our default. We want the basic back. We have signed out of Google on every device and that didn’t work. It asked us to sign back into Google. How do we get back to basic TV as our default? Thank you.
Anyone using my google TV (friends, family, etc.) can see my gmail address by clicking on the profile icon displayed on the home page. How can I hide it? Maybe I don't want everyone knowing that email address.
why the hell does this app need a wifi connection on your phone? After all, there is an LTE / gsm connection set by default. It's the same with a soundbar. If someone doesn't have wifi what then? You have to combine with sharing a connection from another phone. What idiot came up with that
I was going to purchase one of these TV's but I really do not want to get involved with having to use a smart phone just to set the TV up. I am not very good with smart phones, (only carry for emergencies), so I doubt I woud manage to get the TV working. I will now look at LG and Samsung.
@@AnthonyTobyEllenor-pi4jqYou don't need a smartphone to set up any Google or Android TV. It's just a shortcut for people who do who also have the Google home app as the man said at the start. The option to set up the traditional way is there on screen.
@@interstat2222 Thanks for the reply, my wife wants to watch Arte on the TV, it used to be on our satellite but now it's gone , I did see that Arte is already programmed onto some TV's so I suppose if I buy such a TV and connect to the Internet, I can get Arte working without a smartphone.
@@AnthonyTobyEllenor-pi4jq No problem. Yes, Arte is available as an app on any Android/Google TV. You just search for it in the TV's search bar and install it there to have it on your TV. I don't think it's available on Samsung or LG TVs, though.
