@@Gianni-tn2xg Bass is what a party speaker is mostly about. JBL has a way better fitting sound signature for this category putting more emphasis on bass. If I wanted a balanced sound signature (like Sony) I wouldn't buy a party speaker for that. Sony just misses the mark.
@@Gianni-tn2xg If we're already talking deep, then we can safely say Devialet Phantom 1 takes the crown by going as low as 16 Hz with clear, hearable vibrations. But then again, it's almost 3500$ in price. You should expect that kind of quality gap. Each speaker is their own. JBL isn't the king of sound, neither is Sony, Devialet, Bang & Olufsen and whatever brand you'll name. Most people just love the overpitched and overly bassy nature of JBL speakers.
I'm finally glad that Sony is going in the right direction with pairing your speakers is now easier no skipping and finally a stable connection I'm so happy that Sony is finally getting things right
Why is no one testing the optical in on a TV for movies? That's probably the main feature that sets this party box apart from the rest. Also the TV booster feature. This speaker was not just made for parties. Reviewers dropped the ball on this one.
Sony wins gymcaddy test proves sony sounds louder and wider Soundstage and better sound better quality bass better mids better voices better crisp highs sony wins in every aspect
@@felipesoares3590 True, the Sony v90 is very powerful and loud But this Tower 10 speaker is still loud enough to easily beat the JBL partybox Ultimate in terms of power.
@@gtcreeper I do not. But I think JBL is just a better product overall. Sound clarity is pretty much the same with JBL having way better bass and better design. I also think Lightshow, controls, looks and build quality is better on the JBL (but that is subjective) JBL is also newer with Bluetooth 5.3 and Auracast. Sony is still on Bluetooth 5.2 and the jump is significant in my opinion.
You said it gives the ultimate a run for its money then say the speaker isn’t as thunderous or wall shaking as others aka Jbl ultimate. “Sony is going for a different kind of bass” bass is bass, I’m guessing they went for punchy type of bass and not that good quality low end bass response that only JBL can deliver. I’m going to have to try one of these things out lol

@@GYMCADDYjust calling it how it is on your video, flossy Carter already confirmed it so curious as to how you will compare the two. Can’t wait to see it and hear it 🤔
The bass on Ult Tower is literally the same as XV900 so it already loses in terms of bass to JBL. The only thing Sony does better than JBL is the spatial audio for dolby atmos and that's about it. But it's fake Dolby Atmos since they don't have any upward firing drivers (just like Ultimate). And by the way, this is actually downgrade from XV900 that does have upward firing tweeters. The most funny thing is that the ULT tower is not even suitable as a HT addition since it lacks that necessary deep bass you want for ground shaking movie scenes. So to me JBL Ultimate is just way better in pretty much every way possible and it's more flexible. Not just for music.
And even still with just 1 woofer it defeats the jbl 710 having 2 woofers ans jbl ultimate having 2 woofers just as sony ult 7 defeats jbl boombox 3 with that oversized piece of crap subwoofer that it haves boombox 4 haves no chance baby
Can you please review the Momentum True Wireless 4 ? I am wating for your review comparing them to the MTW3 to know witch one to buy, the difference are like 100€ in my country
Loudest party speaker of Sony? I doubt it, both the Ult Tower 10 and Sony V83d have 12 inch woofer and 4 4 cm tweeters but the V83d has 4 midrange drivers (10 cmx2 and 8 cm x2) against only 2 from the Ult Tower.
There's also difference in shape of the woofers. V83 has ROUND 12 inch woofer that translates into surface area of 113 sq inches. Tower 10 has 12.6 SQUARE woofer for a total of 158 sq inches of surface area. That's pretty big difference.
To me the speaker is not good at all it's pretty terrible like why is there only one microphone input you think you do what you think you are the only person in the city using the speaker nah This speaker is just too cramped in ports No this speaker is getting worse everything is getting worse even the ports are removing imagine the XV-910 that parts will be even more removed they'll be only one microphone input no audio jack TV port only no battery Even smaller speakers their new models will be even worse The ports will be removed even they won't be powered by batteries and it's just getting worse and worse with each new generation like some cars do like imagine the steer by nothing system on the Sony car that thing would be very terrible and I would crash if I wasn't careful of the terrible steering system
Also. This is pretty subjective but I much preffer the physical controls on the Ultimate, especially the volume dial. So much better to use than the touch controls.
@@LukeR1M of course JBL's much better cuz build quality wise they're pretty good even when they're plastic Even though they do feel kind of cheap on some parts it does feel better than some other speakers
@@Mingzhe583 I think JBL speakers overall are designed exceptionally well. There is no other speaker on the market with such expansive lightshow on top of having great bass and crystal clear audio. I don't mind the plastic exterior that much to be honest. What matters the most is that it has inner wooden enclosure to improve sound quality (and you can hear it). Sony on the other hand.... their speakers are total mess in my opinion. They don't look good at all and some design choices are very questionable.
Sounds very sony like why do they keep liking upper bass mess , so happy i returned the ult 7 messy thing aswell This big ult speaker also cost to much mybe 600-800$ is okay price bit not 1200....😂
Sony will be Sony. They tune all their speakers exactly the same way with no variety. Regardless if it's a party speaker or a home speaker. They don't quite understand what a party speaker is all about.
Jbl fan boy this will destroy any og yalls speakers plus the ult 7 has more bass than the boombox 3 the boombox has a DAMN SUBWOOFER while ult 7 has mid and highs only
I don't know why are some JBl fan boys are talking about bass and bass. There are so many things in a sound quality which we don't know except audio engineers. Sony is a reputed company and Japanese brands never fail so easily. Jbl speakers may have that powerful bass but sound isn't clear as Sony as well as battery.
Very good review 👍. Not gonna lie they have improved it a lot, and it sounds very good but you don’t get a thumping bass like the ultimate, but hey I’m not looking to get that speaker anyway 😂. I’m more interested in the ULT 7 🤩
It’s one of the biggest & if not best upgrades concerning the 120,320,& EXTREME 4. The ability to replace the battery when it dies & the ability to take the battery out & use the plug while you’re inside. It’s definitely a game changer.
Nowadays Sony is just getting worse they just add more tweeters new speakers just get more ugly and don't look as good The previous generation model looks better than the new generation model
Agreed. I think Ult Tower has even the same woofer as XV900, they just added more tweeters as you said. And still using Bluetooth 5.2 so no Auracast. Quite disappointing overall. Edit: Actually, XV900 has SIX tweeters while Tower 10 has 4 so.... yeah. I don't even know what Sony is doing at this point.
For the price of one SB4 you can get 2 PB 320 and just win over SB in every way. 320 has better sound quality, light feature, deep bass and stereo separation + Bluetooth 5.4 and Auracast. SB4 is only better in terms of build quality. It's pretty durable.
I am just trying to figure out which is better for baseball walk up songs and in between innings music kids like it loud and bass. Which is better for that?
@@jasonrodriguez6416 If that's the case then I guess SB4 is gonna be a better option (if you want to carry just one speaker). It's generally louder than 320 and has more mid bass up to 100% volume. 320 has better sound quality though.
Sir, now try to make the comparison between SONY ULT TOWER 10 and PARTYBOX ULTIMATE. Wanna see how it kills Partybox ultimate. May not be in bass but overall quality.
Was there rainbow unicorns in that story as well? 🤣Sony has been irrelevant speaker brand for years now. It's not killing anything. But keep on dreaming lol.
@@KirkFord-w1bnow say it again without crying you hear what gymcaddg says and every honest person like gymcaddy haves to say and that us that sony ult 10 overkills jbl ultimate period❤🎉
