Theres nothing really to fix. These headphones are meant for bassheads and bassheads will love them. Their competitor is not Sennheiser, lol. Its Skullcandy crusher ANC 2. If you fuss too much about these they are probably not meant for yoy. Grab the XM4

Indeed, the ULT WEAR really was designed for people who love bass. The XM4 are certainly a great alternative! However, the Sennheiser ACCENTUM and ACCENTUM Plus do offer some more modern conveniences, such as USB-C audio. Thanks for watching and happy listening!

Hi, thanks for a great review. I have a question, how is it comfortable wearing it with eyes glasses? do the bass frequencies get lost in the process? Since the earbuds from the glasses do not allow them to fit properly to ears.

ULT if you want more bass. XM4 if you want slightly better clarity. They’re both solid.

Literally updating my older XB950N1 with this after 6 or so years. Hard to find on ear headphones like my WH-CH510 from Sony other than the WH-CH520. Finally USB-C charging unlike the XB950N1. Thank you!

I was disappointed by XB-910's for lacking bass than my previous xb950n1. If it sounds like graph in ult 2 mode, i will definitely buy it❤. Need something that massage my head.

I have had the xb950n1 for a long time but the plastic on both sides has cracked up and its broken but usable, but the bass on the headset is amaaaazing so I will def get the ULT ones !!!

You fail to mention that the bass level is ADJUSTABLE for the two ULT button functions. Set it in the app, done. ULT2 can be +1 bass if you want it to be, or it can be +10. It’s all USER DEFINED. Makes complaining about having the available OPTIONS pretty silly. The button essentially makes it so you have 2 bass level presets, adjusted to your liking, available at your fingertip.

If they sounded the exact same as the XM5s, what would be the point of them? I'm in the market right now and sort of like that they are doing something a bit different. I would say your review is silly for complaining about the bass, but I understand as "SoundGuys" you are evaluating them compared to a reference curve, so... fair enough.

These are essentially more comfy XM5s, with a dip in sound quality and A LOT more bass. Which, if you listen to bass heavy music, would be a better option than XM5 if that's what you like. Honestly, it's a win for variations in headphones. Him saying the bass is hindering, is wrong because of personal opinion. Also yes, a firmware update could help without the ult1 or ult2. But still win for people who wanna stand in front of a speaker at a concert lol. 😂

@@swapnilchaudhary2944 because it have a button for it. The way it’s right now, 20+db is probably leading to a lot of distortion. What wouldn’t happen with a more neutral sound, and then when the boost kicks in, it would be a real difference without distortion. If you sell a product with a function, that wrecks the sound quality… thats stupid. But hey, there is a bunch of people that don’t spent 2 seconds thinking about it.. right?

I understand that some people are bass heads, but this sound signature is just too much. It's way off from what the artist intended and it objectively sounds like crap with just bass. People who like these have never listened to really expensive speakers with very deep bass but still balanced . (you can buy whatever you like of course)

Sony realised that their overpriced xm5 is not selling that well so they release this XM4 looking pair with bass for days. For 200 bucks though, it's still too expensive...for me.

I almost intantly regret buying these. They sound AWFUL at any frequency above 200hz and only bad, very bad or awful under 200hz depending on the ULT setting. Tried fiddling with the equalizer, to make them sound acceptable, but they still cant compare to an old Sennheiser PX100. Everything is plastic, it looks like crap, I dont understand how anyone can like them.

THX for data, looks good enough. I got planars modified with EQ bass boosted on pc, double amp, only then it sounds good. That being said I like highs without peaks and not totally dark, which in this case should only sound thin. I bet there is some EQ in app, even if not, to set it manually is less of problem. After all I like my sub in my car, even if tuned down, standard speakers or headphones like xm5 in this case cannot give you that bass without distortion, it just hit the limit before I set it to loudness I can bear. I listen to Rap, Dub and such, with some lows being at lvl of boom you hear when a plane goes supersonic. Added DSEE and ldac makes them flagship worthy, not just any headphone can do that. Anc on top. This feels like PS2 at its time, they are buying customers.

I was born in 1979, this guy talks slooow like my grandfather. After this review heck yeah I'm buying this set of headphones, I was raised listening to 90's heavy 🤘🏾 metal, rap music and of course electronic music. This Sony headset sounds perfect for me. What a slow boring talking dude 👎🏾 I gave a like 👍🏾 to this video because this dude just described exactly what I'm looking for in a headset. I own a pair of skullcandy crushers and a pair of senheisers hd458, this is probably the middle ground I'm looking for right now.
