There are actually more small screws that hold the processor fan. Be very careful when disconnecting the cables between the motherboard and the monitor, as they are very sensitive and you can damage them. As far as possible, if you can carry out your operation without disconnecting any cables between the motherboard and the monitor, there will be less chance of you damaging your notebook.

Thank you. finally changed the stone paste on the stone and at the same time poured mud out of the cooler. By the way, I didn’t find how to pour oil into it. I left it as it is ..Worcing) Fire.

Hello. I know this is an old video, but I have looked around, and in the manual of the laptop, and there is no mention of this. I received a VPCSB25FB, which outwardly looks the same as this one, and the board also looks the same. I will take it apart soon to do a much needed cleaning and thermal paste replacement, but I would like to also replace the CMOS battery while I am in there. What is the type of battery required? It is briefly seen in the video, I know it has two leads coming out, but that's it.

Thanks, How-FixIT, great video! I have one question: on my laptop (VAIO VCPSB model, too) I could not remove the heat pipes after removing the screws, whereas on your video they come off easily. It is almost as if the thermal paste is glued to the heat pipes and chips. Have you seen/experienced this before?
@howfixit
@howfixit 7 лет назад
the problem is thermal grease is completely dry, and in this condition it's really works like a glue. Try to heat up heat pipes using for example hairdryer, maybe it'll help

@bj_1984
