If you're at all like me and you don't want to / know how to use Photoshop, I found this solution which seems to work well too: ezgif .com lets you break a gif down into frames and then re-render it without the "stacking" you see here. Hope this helps.

It's worth noting that I don't have Extended, and I didn't need the 'convert to timeline animation' for this to work, however thnks a lot for this :D it really was helpful!

Excellent tutorial. Too bad it doesn't help me with my gif problem. What, I can't drag and drop a couple of 8 second GIF files into sony vegas without the whole fucking program lagging all to fuck? Like seriously other GIFS work fucking fine jesus fucking christ and if I have smaller file sized GIFS in with bigger ones on the same timeline the smaller ones preview fine and the bigger ones are choppy as fuck AND cause the program to fucking freeze up for several seconds all the time. It's fucking bullshit. Length of the GIF isn't the problem I could have a 1MB 20 second GIF work fine but a 3MB 8 second gif the fucking useless program can't handle? What the fuck is that? Yeah, I tried matching media settings to the gifs. I tried cranking up my dynamic ram preview. I fucking looked around on the internet and wasted a fucking hour trying to find a solution to something that shouldn't even be a fucking problem in the first place. A 600 dollar program can't handle a simple short several frame animation? Fucking pathetic. This program is pure trash.

I think it's actually think that "fugly ass" effect is pretty cool. You could definitely get creative with it.

The original creators pronounced it "jiff", it's how English works. I also like to pronounce it "gif", but we're wrong.

I've watched about 3 seconds, first of all. Jif... stg. ok now i've watched a minute, STOP IT!

its only the gifs inside the preview window if its video its fine but it all ways lags on gifs no matter how my settings are set

Every time I move the image for the second frame, it also changes it for the first frame as well (and vice versa). It never used to do this but now it's doing it. Any ideas?
