To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. ru-vid.comUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

Was waiting for this review, I will definitely be going for the blue ones. Also since the volume controls came with a software update for the 1000XM3's and these are pretty much the same, hopefully Sony will find a way to make you have all the controls available. I already have thought of a way they could do it but we would need to know if it's possible.

I really do love that you also review some of the more expensive headphones. I buy one pair every two years or so, so I like to pay up if I get the sound for it. Keep it up! Your channel is just amazing source of information and my go to reference point. If you say that the sound is good, I feel like I can take it to the banc.

Got these a day back. You spoke my mind about expecting these to be more loud. Netflix experience with these is just superb. When it comes to music I want it to be loud . Was used to the loud and hard hitting bass of Sony xb70ap. Unable to come in terms with this one.

Another great one!! These sounds great.. and it's not bad to have up to 13 hours battery in the buds.. and that they have good ANC and that they have great bass..

This is what the WF-XB700 should have been. I just got mine today! These still can't beat the Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro in terms of sound (and bass) but they're almost there and definitely fun to listen to. They fit much better though, took them for a two hour run and my ears were nowhere as fatigued as they normally do with the Liberty 2 Pro. The ANC blocks out around 70-80% of the background noise which is good for this mid-range device. These will replace the Galaxy Buds Plus for my running workouts!

A year ago, I bought the TEVIs after your review and they were great. Right until the point I bought the Wh1000-xm4. Now the TEVIs sound just flat and unappealing. Plus after experiencing the SONY way of handling Bluetooth connection, I just can't stand the TEVIs. I am buying these now :) Love your channel. I really appreciate your work and also the fact that you cover all earbuds (also the higher end !!)

This is a great review, I have purchased a few truly wireless buds over the last couple years and end up taking them back because the fit wasn't good or because the controls were bad. I work in a warehouse and can't wear two at a time, I also have headaches on the right side of my head and so my right ear (dominant) is very sensitive so I have to switch ears. Being able to adjust the touch controls is a must. You are one of the few who go over the controls in detail as well as one at a time usability. I think these may be what I pick up.

I bought these and returned them the next day. The accompanying app is terrible. The touch controls don't allow you to do all you need to do without using the app. If I can't control what I want from the buds they're useless. Went back to Jabra elite active 75

Preordered a set of these from Amazon earlier in the week. Supposed to ship out on Sunday, and I'm looking forward to getting them as I've been thinking about picking up a pair of true wireless buds to use when I'm working on my car, or outside working around the house.

I didn’t even know these were out and I just picked up the Bose quiet comfort earbuds. How do these compare? The noise canceling is pretty amazing on the Bose, I just got rid of the AirPod pros and those aren’t even close. Bose beat them hands down on performance, the only thing apple had on Bose was possibly controls.

I bought these few days ago and returning today. I don't know why I am seeing good review videos but I compared with my Bose old earbuds ear to ear same song, Bose sounds better. I bought these for noise cancelation for running and cycling. Before deciding to return, I put them on and went cycling and believe me, my Bose earbuds with no noise cancellation option were more quiet.

How is the bass quality in comparison to sony wf xb700? And if possible please make a comparison video between these two earbuds

Just picked a pair of white ones from TARGET this AM. Sadly, not really happy with them. Didn't really notice anything outstanding to warrant the $199 price. Voice calls on them were subpar IMHO compared to AirPods PRO, with complaints from the other caller with too much external noise. I don't know. But returning them.

Will the white become yellowish after some time of wear and tear?

Nice review as always thanks Gamesky, appreciate the effort. I have the WF-1000 XM3's and I also use AirPods Pros. I use a Apple Watch so I use this to control the volume on these buds (and on the Pro's), so I leave the left earbud in Ambience mode setting. It confuses the heck out of me though as Sony have enough gestures to easily combine vol and ambience into one control set. I have logged it as an enhancement request so I am expecting the change in the next firmware release, the lady I spoke to seemed very keen so shouldn't take long 😂😂😂😂😂

I totally see what you mean with wanting just a little more but I prefer a cap than a distorted sound.

Great review man, I'm definitely interested in these because of it being a sports model. I love my WF-1000XM'3, but these have better battery life and IP certification. I like that it has extra bass and ANC, are these more comfortable than the WF-1000XM3?

Sony’s biggest weakness in their product lines are the mics. That being said, the SP-800N’s are decent but definitely can improve.

Thank you for the video! For me, these seem like the perfect balance between the 1110XM3 an the XB-700. I want them for working out and going for a run. Since the 1000XM3 does not seem to have a good enough fit for that and the XB-700 don't come with the app, these SP800N seem perfect. I can't wait to order mine!

I returned my AirPods Pro and got this for 148 at Best Buy. For that price point the audio quality is top notch though it’s a sporty earbud I can’t get them to stay in my ear when just walking but other than they are really good wireless earbuds.

Which would you recommend purely from sound quality? XB 700 or SP 800?

You should do a category called the king of true wireless headphones. That you can update every 4 months. It would be the best all around headphone. Sound, quality, features, battery life, price and comfort should be the determining factor in the king(or something along those lines).

Apart from the Apple Pros which I have and love for work travel, all ANC/DNC earbuds are large though aren’t they? Not sure you can make a good ANC bud into a tiny Jabra/Galaxy shape. I have the mfmk3’s which I use when not working as the sound on the Pros is a little boring in my opinion.

Hello. I watch a lot of videos about wireless earbuds, but it's very hard to choose. Can you recommend the best earbuds for the price of 100-200eur? For me, sound quality is paramount, but of course other features are important, but sound is paramount.

Hi @Gamesky , how are these ear buds compare with another Sony wf - xb700N, in terms of stability, comfort (for working out) and sound quality? I feel like the 700N are not really stable in ears but there is still $50-80 difference between them.

I woke up at 3 realizing it came out today and just order mine, really excited. The wf1000 I have are great and you can run with them but I hate how I had to keep adjusting them so they wouldn’t slip because there not meant for working out.

Sony did an outstanding move with these one. Well,except for the name one more time i love the product but i'm sick of random typing keyboard buds 😅

Can't you turn the volume up in the app? You can with the other buds; that are compatible with the app.

How does the bass compare to the Sony MDR-XB50BS? They have been my go-to and i dont want to sacrifice any bass on my next upgrade!

Do you have that custom EQ setting you created to share?! I just had the JBL Live 300TWS and they stopped working after only a week... So I'm intrigued on these. Would you have any other good recommendations? Looking for noise cancelling and sweat proof as minimums...

Only critique about them is that they’re rlly noisy in windy conditions, make an unpleasant sound compared to the smaller models

I really wanted these in the Amazon exclusive Orange color but I was able to get the WH1000XM3 for $100 bucks new... that kinda sealed the deal for me.

Do these have a fast-forward/rewind (song scrubbing, not next/previous track) feature? The WH-1000XM3's (over-ear headphones) have the swipe+hold feature where you can scrub forward/back through songs. Haven't seen any reviews mention this feature on the WF-SP800Ns.
