The most honest review ever!! :)
@ufoggofrundor5957
@ufoggofrundor5957 5 лет назад
There are pros and cons to every product, and all of the other reviews focus on the pros. I want to know the cons as well. If nit picking and pointing at all of the little flaws is what it takes to do that, fine. Thank you for doing that for us. I will still buy them, but I really, REALLY appreciate knowing what I'm getting myself into. Thank you so much.

This is the best honest true review out there The rest are Sony sheep’s lol Subscribed What you think of master &Dynamic mw50+ or Mw60

Thank you for the kind words I really do appreciate it. As far as the master & dynamic headphones I've heard of them but haven't really tested them out. However from what I read about the specs they do seem to be quite promising. I will look more into it soon. Thank you for watching and subscribing as well.

Sound, feelings are all subjective. 7 pts from you from someone who is so critical to every small detail is actually pretty good score. I think I will go buy this. Thanks for the heads up! Sony here I come!

Enjoyed your honest frank opinions, very refreshing. I am mulling over these headphones but you might have put me off. I currently have the B&W p7 wireless and love there great sound but want a change. I would naturally go for the PX but having tried them feel they would be too uncomfortable to wear for my 8 hour work shift. What do you think?
@spaceytropics
@spaceytropics 5 лет назад
I agree, The PX's although great in sound does get very uncomfortable. I've tried my co-workers PX's and i loved everything about their sound signature however, it turned me off real fast when i noticed how poorly designed the ear pads were when i couldn't bear it after 30 minutes. I would say try the B&O H9i but that's even more money which you might not like. You can get the sony's and you will be insanely impressed with the feature and especially the ANC for sure, but don't expect the sound to be on par with the real sound makers like B&W, B&O, Sennheiser, Audiotechnica, V-Moda etc. Currently although it doesn't have ANC, I'm using the V-MODA Crossfade Wireless 2's and never looked back at the Sony's even once. I hope this helps out a bit and any more questions feel free to ask and I'll answer to the best i can. Thanks for watching.

Many thanks for the super detailed reply , clearly you care about your subscribers and take it from me that is very rare these days, thank you. I used to have the Vmoda m100’s a few years ago before the B&W p7 wireless and I did like them but the p7s were on a different level but I am certainly tempted to try the cross fade wireless 2’s. The only thing that stopped me from getting the Sony’s when they came out was my short experience with their 1st gen 1000x which I returned after being totally underwhelmed by their sound signature and those headphones were similarly over hyped like the new ones that’s why it’s so refreshing to see honest reviews like yours. Keep it up man and look after yourself

Thank you very much for the kind words, i really do appreciate it and yes i will always appreciate my subscribers, they're the reason this channel still is up so answering the best i can is what i try to do best so that everyone can spend they're money wisely. That being said, yes i too felt underwhelmed with the XM3's because i fell for the hype around these headphones myself. For the CF Wireless 2's I'd say if you have a micro-center or maybe a microsoft store near you go there since the microsoft store is where i got mine from for 280 instead of regular price at 350. V-MODA has it on their site now for 280 as well with customization of the aluminum plates. I love them and TBH i'd only buy reputable names for any audio experience now solely due to the fact that i bought the sonys and didn't like them. Hope this gave a little clearer picture of how I'm thinking.

I subbed just cuz you are so honest. I will probably end up buying them regardless to upgrade from my beats studio 2 wireless

@spaceytropics 6 лет назад
I'm very thankful you like my honesty, a lot of people seem to bash me for it. Coming from the studio 2's you're probably going to love this quite a bit as do most other, however if your not really into noise cancelling like that I'd rather refer you to the V-Moda Crossfade 2 Wireless. Going to do a video on them soon as I just got them, but that's only if you prefer them not saying getting the Sony's is a bad choice either. Thank you for watching.

I’m not sure if it’s just my pair of wh1000xm3 headphones but when I convert the nc/ambient sound button to goggle assistant, google assistant can only give me the time and notifications, is this normal?

Spacey Tropics, which bluetooth headphone would you say has the ‘best’ audio quality?
@spaceytropics
@spaceytropics 6 лет назад
Well if audio quality is your top priority, Then there are plenty of brands out there with great audio quality. As far as being the "best" that would always be subjective to the user. For me my top brands for just straight up audio, range from V-MODA, Sennheiser or Audiotechnica but my absolute favorite vary between the first two. In the end the choice would really fall onto the person buying the headphone and what they prefer, whether it be a balanced sound versus bass heavy versus straight clarity etc. That being said my favorite Bluetooth headphone i am currently using is the V-Moda Crossfade 2 Wireless. Got them for 280 just the other day and I've been loving them ever since. Battery life could be better but I'll take the hit in battery for the sound it produces any day. Thanks for watching.

I think these headphones are top notch, but I agree with you on only pairing to one device at a time. Especially with me being an Apple user. Big pain in the A when switching devices.

I’m really stuck on which headphones I should buy. It is a lot of money and I honestly don’t want to be dropping an insane amount like 350 dollars on headphones I won’t like. Would you say that the sony 1000xm3 are better than the Bose qc35 ii as I know there is a lot of buzz around these two headphones.
@spaceytropics
@spaceytropics 5 лет назад
If we're strictly comparing the MK3's to the QC35ii only then yes, i feel that the sony's offer alot more than the Bose for the price. In terms of sound the Sony's are a bit ahead of the bose in that department as well. Over all between these two the Sony's would be the better buy in terms of ANC headphones. I hope this helps and feel free to ask more questions if your still unsure. Thanks for watching.

Such a good review on these for people who feel conscious about dropping the almost 400 on these. Covered everything I needed to know. I've never bought headphones near that price range. Mostly interested in these for the noise cancelling for which you said is really good. So from your experience wearing these, can the ANC on these while listening to say instrumental music or white noise block out human speech or muffle high frequency sounds significantly?
@spaceytropics
@spaceytropics 6 лет назад
Thank you for the kind words, It's nice to see them after some of the hate i received for being honest on these headphones. From my experience i would have to say it varies. Sometimes i feel like it blocks out everything nicely and other times, i tend to hear background chatter from high pitch voiced people/noises as i do use these on the Bus, Train and Office setting here in the BIG Apple NYC. However 99% of the time those sounds are muted significantly and listening to music is enjoyable but that's only the office/ walking from point A to B setting. it goes down to 85% on the train time frame and then down to 75% on the bus. Why so low for the bus, mainly due to the fact that with further testing after this review, the ANC DOES NOT handle vibration from bumps/pot holes very well at all and in turn distorts music for me as well as lets in slight ambient noise even tho ambient noise is turned off. Your going to get the best use of these headphones in more stable transportation/situations and superbly enjoy the ANC on it as well since these are the king of ANC currently. I hope this helps a bit and any more questions feel free to ask and i'll answer to the best of my abilities. Thank you for watching.

I really wanted to buy it. But 349 is no joke.
@spaceytropics
@spaceytropics 6 лет назад
Yes you are right, it is no joke, especially when tax is added. However if you really wanted to buy it and one of the main key features your looking at is the active noise cancelation then this is the best of the best in that sense as well as all the added features it has. However if your looking for something to give you better audio quality over ANC for the price, then your better off going to the competition like Bowers & Wilkins, B&O, Sennheiser, Audiotechnica, V-MODA etc. Thank you for watching.

Yes I find the touch controls on my MDR-1abt 's a pain and it looks like they haven't improved them on these and yes it does pee me off!! But sound and noise cancelling is the most important to me ! I don't think their are perfect headphones or mobile phones they all have faults !! I think it depends on what you are able to live with! I also use mine with a Sony hi-res player which I find makes a lot of difference!

I couldn't agree with you more, I returned these to Best Buy for sound quality. I regularly use in ear monitors, Westone and Shure, models I own range from $100 to $1000. My $99 Shure SE215 sound better than these. Move up to the Westone W60 and these are blown away. The iems don't give you the thumping bass you get with supra aural cans but the accuracy, clarity, sound stage and "musicality" is unsurpassed. Like you I really wanted to like these for their excellent noise cancelling capability and features as I've also tried pretty much every noise cancelling headphone out there and with this fail, I'm giving up. I tried the Bowers and Wilkens and the sound quality was much better until you turned on the noise cancelling, then they were awful, even worse than the 1000MX3s imho and I couldn't wear them more than a half hour before they hurt. I guess I'm going to have to live with only the noise isolation my iems can provide, I spend too much time enjoying music to have it compromised so I get what you are saying entirely.

Should I get the WH-1000XM2 for $200 or these for $350?
@spaceytropics
@spaceytropics 6 лет назад
To be honest there is an upgrade in sound and features going from the XM2 to the XM3 .The XM2 on the other hand is still a pretty good headphone and really if you can get it for $200 + tax, then your saving quite a bit of money. However if money isn't the issue then go for the XM3 solely due to the fact that ANC had been improved as well as all the touch controls. Hope this helps and feel free to ask another question if you need to and I'll answer to the best of my ability. Thank you for watching.

They blow the studio 3 away in sound. This just does seem to like the sound signature. The app is very useful. I like so much I got one in each colour.

Sony’s sound has been pretty on the bassy side. I don’t like them. They have pretty features and stuff, but they’re definitely not worth the price. This is coming from a musician. You can get way better headphones for this price. I don’t understand why they’re praised so much. Unless you want to block out the world, get these by all means. If you’re in for the music, get outta here.

I'm happy you do love them and I'm sorry you don't enjoy the review. Majority of people do love them yes, and I still gave these a rating of over an 8, however to me they still need work in audio quality if they want to compete with the likes of V-Moda, Sennheiser Audiotechnica etc. Cool features can really only take a headphone so far and with a price point of near 400 I'd expect more than a plastic build but that's just my opinion and I've been bashed for it already but it's ok. I want to at least thank you for watching and telling me your thoughts so I can improve on my video making skills.

Nice Review Though but still love my XM3 than my outgoing 1st gen QC35. ANC and Audio quality is much more superior than qc35, I've always travel from PH to QA & vice versa which is 9 hrs and xm3 is far more better in terms of ANC, Audio Quality and comfort. but as you said "this is just my Opinion" :-) thanks.

They sound more clear and high quality than the studio 3’s and even have more bass, but I think the Studios have more volume. I use my Beats for jamming during workouts. The Sony XM3 shine in listening to movies and video games.
