Sony WX500 v iPhone : Best budget vlogging camera? 

Pushkar Bokarey official haha! A lot of questions! I tend to vlog outside with everything on auto. Fairly sure this camera does not do time lapse. The problem is also this camera does not have a mic input, so audio is not going to sound great. I think there are some manual control in video but I’ve never used them. Low light performance is not great on these types of cameras. The camera that does have a mic input is Sony RX100 - same size but lot high spec. But much higher price. Sony have just released the Sony ZV1 which would be ideal for indoor reviews/tutorials. It has external mic and a ‘product’ mode so that if you hold something up to the camera, the autofocus goes to that and then back to your face when you remove product from view. It’s £699 though. Having said all that, a £20 Boya lapel mic connected to your iPhone, even on forward facing camera will give a reasonable result. The other way round is, yes, get the WX500, see what the audio comes out like. You can always use a Boya £20 lapel mic into your phone for audio and match it up in edit. Hope that helps!

Most of my videos before this one were shot on the Sony.

On this camera, as it only has an internal mic, I bought some small self adhesive furry disks from Amazon amzn.eu/d/ehmuaQs

Didn’t even know there was an internal memory if I’m honest. I always use the SD card.

@@Walksandwanders thanks 4 the response.,,yes~that's what other users demonstrate aswell-the simple transference of the SD card to whatever device etc..BUT since leaving my comment i have learnt on use of any Sony camera initial data extraction must be via their 'Playmemories' software [..AND must be using the USB method!] I did this & i managed to achieve extraction lol of the recorded piece. What is curious though is my laptop,& my older digital camera,continue not to recognize the file's existence on the card [..strangely,the time allowed for the recorded piece IS!] Maybe recordings on Sony hardware become exclusive to them??..this is where I am at.,going to continue using the camera~yet to come up against the audio issues et al
