@@darekm6859 Xb30: 2x25W rated drivers, XB31: 2x16W rated drivers. Xb30: 7,2V 4200mah battery Xb31: 7,2V 2700mah battery The Xb31 distorts at max Volume much more than the 30. I own 2xXb31 and wanna switch it to 2x Xb30. The Xb32 has 2xunrated drivers and a 7,4V 2700mah battery. The Bluetooth range got shortened from 30 to 10m.

MetroIsHere YT I think I'll admit its surpassed charge 3 in several ways, it sounds so much more like a mini stereo then charge 3, and that heavens for the new body!!! The only thing keeping the charge 3 even remotely close to the 31s performance is its bass it still seems the bit more boomy than a 31

Jack Konieczny Dude 31 wont dissapoint!!! As someone who mostly buys JBLs this is an awesome other option! And so many features and personal app for adjusting just about everything for the speaker and battery and durability! This thing has it all, of charge 3 didn't exist this would be my new only favorite mid sized speaker but its tied!with charge 3 in bbn my book

Jack Konieczny mmmm... I wouldn't say better but I like its sound ambience a little more then charge 3, but and normal listening levels charge still has more bass. But the app for the 31 works flawlessly with my phone, so tweaking the sound and lights is easy as heck! If u picked it over the charge u wouldn't be making a bad choice. u cant really go wrong either way

Ramy Elmorsy I referring to my personality favorites lol, I did a mini sound battle with them yesterday and the charge still held it's own for being almost 2 years old ! It still handles bass well compared to the 31 mainly do to the twin radiators, But I love everything going on with the 31 including the stereo separation thanks to the driver placement! Definitely seems like it gets a little louder then the charge 3. I will agree that the 31 is the total package when it comes to mid sized speakers, especially the app EQ actually impacting the sound! U could say that a little Nostalgia for being there since the 1st charge is what's keeping me from naming the 31 my Favorite above all else.🤣 but since I say I have 2 favorites I will say the 31 is probably my 1st of the 2 favorites lol😆

It doeant make any difference sound wise whether or not you can see the passive radiator they arent there to produce sound the increase useable airspace in the speaker which allows the speakers to move more causing better bass

Definitely xb31. I own both. The xB has WAY more bass but the jbl has just the slightest better highs and mids. In MY opinion it's not worth it . Get xB 31

Micheal Hall It's probably the default tuning. You can get great highs, mids and treble on the XB30 if you adjust the speaker, your phone and/or your app's equalizer.

@@Xfalcons38 Not a fan of that Live Sound mode to be honest. It just reverberates the sound and produces an echo-ish effect in an attempt to recreate a bouncing wide sound as what you would hear inside a concert hall. To me, it just makes the sound output worse and unnatural because of the exaggerated reverberation and echo effect. But that's just me. I know some people like it. I personally don't.
