You can adjust the 3 band EQ within the Sony app to get better upper range performance, but as I mentioned in the video, using custom EQ disables Mega Bass option. Even with the low band on the Sony app EQ maxed out, the bass is still not as good as using Mega bass mode.
Heavily considering the T9 as I was in the market for a Boombox 2 but if the T9 can come close to performance at a fraction of the price, I think T9 would be the better bang for my buck, what would you advise me to do? I need a party speaker for sure
great review! from the arm pit of midwest!!! lol! t 9 is a deal!!! i got two xg500 of amazon refurb for 160$ each. i got to eq them alot. but the t9 is a good deal to!! do the math.. i really like the outdoors things, kinda like dragracing!!! run what you brung!!! the sound as the clock dont lie!!!! lmfao!!!
T9 is is best performer.to me. It lacks waterproof rating, however. For all around use the X10 is probably the best if you need a speaker that is water resistant.
So this brings up a question then. The jbl boombox 2 I've heard has sounded louder and more bassy than the Sony xg500 which means it has more bass than the t9 and is also louder than the Sony. I think id wanna hear a boombox 2 go against the t9 I'm assuming the boombox 2 would stomp it.
The Boombox 2 is a little louder, mainly due to the treble being more pronounced. The bass seems to go a little deeper also on the Boombox 2 compared to the XG500. The XG500 treble can be improved from within the Sony app, so when you do that it makes the XG500 pretty comparable to the max volume of the Boombox 2. While I've heard the Boombox 2 I don't have one and doubt I will be getting one unless there is a massive sale, which is highly unlikely.
@@Nathan-tn5yb I don't know myself what sony did there. Probably only interns or something like that. They have limited everything and generally keep the sound a little too warm, as if they want you to have a reason to buy the Sony XP 700 after all, i.e. to throw even more money out of the window. In any case, this does not escape the creative community and of course test their limits. The limit no longer exists at all with a custom eq. You can even raise the bass in the lower frequency range up to +8 and still have no decorations. What I want to say is the following .. the sony has a lot of untapped potential because it was "kept small", or wanted to.
