I actually have both of them. the xm3 requires the Sony app to sound good, without the app it sounds like average pair of headphones which is not good using it wired or on pc. the M50xBT sounded great out of the box, no matter wired or wirelessly (i prefer wired cause they give a little bit higher volume), but keep in mind your pc or phone should have enough power to drive them if not their volumes are low and not enjoyable. I personally prefer the sound of the M50xBT because their sound signature is more towards relax, balanced of treble and bass, rich in detailed sound. For the xm3, I do love them as well but I ended up using the M50xBT more cause I'm always using my pc plugged-in so the absence of the sony app render the xm3 useless. As for comfort for long period, the m50xBT will make my ears hurt and the xm3 will make my ears sweaty and hurt as well so there are no comparisons there. If you're a first timer buying luxury headphones at this price range, get the xm3, they will surely give you a "WOW" impression for the ANC, rich and full sound experience you never had before. As for people who are used to luxury headphones, you might wanna go for the M50xBT cause they have more clarity than the xm3 and a more relaxed/balanced sound signature. It pains me to say the xm3 are muffled compared to the m50xBT which is a day and night experience for me. The build quality of the m50xBT is also better and more sturdy while the xm3 feels like it's gonna break anytime soon. =)
thanks kepele! im considering buying this kind of price range headphones, noise isolation & anc wise which one do you think worth buying for a first timer and for daily driver? considering i dont have that much money and dont see the point in buying both😂
Thanks for the review.. i am looking for my daily driver whenever i am sitting down on my pc.. so it will be plugged in and wired all the time.. Been looking for review for the xm3 with wired mode, ur comment is extremely helpful and giving me clearer picture.. So for pc and wired use = m50x For phone or anything that can access the apps, it will be xm3..
M50X is the way to go, 3rd pair this year and I LOVE every iteration of the m50x, beats all sony and seinheiser (hd555/6xx) ive tried so far , Thank you AT
Ive had the M50x 5 years now for DJing and everyday use. Imo it's better because it's cheaper, as good as the sony, customizable, not to mention, design. However, it has its downfalls. The head band when it gets wet or cold flakes very easy, one of the clips break after a while preventing it from fitting snug on your ear, and if you use it everyday eventually one side of the headphones usually short circuits. Unfortunately, there arent much betr than it out there.
@@CameraDavePhoto what about that material that is on ear pads? i had bad experience with that pealing off from my first headphones and it shattered to pieces , could not even clean it had to throw it away carefully cause it was like dust of black powder, other headphones like seinheiser has memory foam or skin looks more durable. Does your have any damage on that ear pad material?
@@NostalgicMem0ries that’s weird. I’ve experienced nothing like that. The material is still like when I first got them. Same with the headband part. No issues.
I sold off my M50X BT and bought XM3 thinking I am going for an upgrade, sadly I hate how XM3 sounds, the bass is way too much, all the songs that used to sound so good in 50X sounds too shallow in XM3, tried aptX and ACC.
I didn't tried de m50x but I bought the XM3 a month ago and I think the same! There is no clarity, it sounds like muddy with more bass than voices. I dont like it at all
@@Ofspringing Im so disappointed with the audio quality. At first I thought I have a broken unit so I tested with my friend's XM3 and they sound the same. Clearly not the best, the bass is just too much that it swallows the rest of the music.
Good morning Dante! interesting everything. Which would you recommend me to listen to more Rock in all its variants? I also do music and I like to listen and analyze. Is the option to listen with cable available in both products? Thank you
I was debating which one to buy, my choice was the Bose don't and audio Technica, I tried it out in best best and prefer the Sony over the Bose, but they didn't have an option to try out the technicas, so I'm not really sure which one has a better sound quality
The technica has better clarity, the vocals are soothing and it has decent bass and not overpowering, the xm3 has better bass which is more fun but it gets a little muddy on the mids and high, but the eq on xm3 has dozens of options to tinker with, which is more fun i would say
I have the Sony’s and it’s so sad I got them for real cheap and the microphone quality is horrible Sony said they replace them free if I return them but I could return them Back to eBay and get the audio m50xbt just don’t know what to do looking for a grate pair of headphones 🎧 for the money that I can make calls on grate and also have amazing sounds if you can help that be amazing any headphones
Danny Larocco I tried making calls on them and I just can’t use over ear headphones to make calls. I prefer earbuds to make calls. Over ear headphones are for music and podcasts, not phone calls.
Dante Gaymon what you think I should do ??? I got Bose Quiet comfort 35 to the feeling of my pocket when I was at work doing overtime and got all wet and stopped working but they seem to be working now and everything and stuff so hopefully it’s fixed I don’t know if it’s 100% fixed but I’m trying to find headphones that are worth the money and everything and I’m just wondering what do you think I should do I listen to all different types of music country hip-hop pop punk rock all different kinds of music so I’m just trying to find the best overall headphones and I’ve been having a really hard time and it’s been really bugging me because I don’t really feel like having to look around like crazy I just want to find a great pair of headphones that sounds great I had to wire version of the M 50 back when I was in high school I graduated in 2016 and they were good and everything but yeah they were OK I return them but I’m looking for something that I’m going to love And I don’t know if I should return the stony’s to eBay and get my money back 30 day moneyback guarantee or if I should send them to Tony and get a replacement I’m just trying to see what I should do because it’s been really bugging me and I don’t want to waste my money either and throw it away so I’m trying to see what I should do because it’s been really bugging me and I just want to get it over with and find the best headphones 🎧 All I want is great SoundCloud good Mike and just overall comfortable I want something that’s going to blow me away something that’s going to sit there and work really well a lot of people rave about the Sony’s and talk about how amazing they are and everything so yeah I don’t now I had to Bose on your OE2 headphones for a long time before they got stolen out of my sisters boyfriends car at six flags so I really miss those headphones because I loved how light weight and small they were they could fit into my jacket pocket or sweatshirt pocket and I loved the sound quality two of them so I don’t know what else to do I really don’t and plus the only downside about those that it had a cable But yeah I’m just looking for something that’s going to sound great for all genres of music that’s going to really be worth it overtime and last and hold up too ❤️💖 And also I don’t know if I should get a pair of earbuds in if I should spend a lot of money on them or just get a cheaper pair like the Anker liberty air 2 idk what to do I’m in a rock In a hard place in deciding on what to do honestly And I do make a lot of phone calls to with headphones 🎧 so I’m just stuck not wanting to wast my money it’s hard to choose or what to do one thing I do love about the Bose is the deep ear cups and the mic the bottoms are a plus for cold weather like I have in Upstate NY
Mariano G. Villegas noo de españa. La cancelación perfecta. Comodidad perfecta.
Lol no offense. But you dont know that much about the products or audio. The audio of course will be clearer with noise cancelation from less disturbance. And you can turn the noice cancelation off as well. Plus the sony's have an ambient mode
i did the mistake to purchase audio technica ath m50bt2 and now i 'm really considering to return them ... after one hour of continue use it gives you a headache and ears really hurt from the pressure it exerts over them ... i was intending to use them with computer but they become really really uncomfortable to the point you need to take them off and take a break from the pain ... i had used before the audio technica ath m50 coiled wired version which i used them for more than 8 years but i don't remember them to be so uncomfortable ! this bt2 are atrocious after 1 hour of continue use !
