I really want either ZV-1F or ZV-1 for top down shots and as a portable camera for family stuff. I feel like zv-1f would work too for overhead shots since it also has digital zoom. Still can’t decide yet. Maybe I will decide by the time a ZV-2 comes 😂
As a ZV1 owner, I almost thought about upgrading for the wider lens. But then I learned it doesn't have raw photo capability and that was a dealbreaker for me!
It would not of been an upgrade. The focus on it is utter garbage. I got a ZV1F as a second camera to go with my ZV1 and it is just awful because of the focus. It hunts constantly. I ended up returning it getting a second ZV1 for the same price! so I can have 1 on tripod with the Ulanzi wide angle fitted to it and one standard on the little cran M2 gimbal. It is a shame because if the 1F had the ZV1s focus abilities it would of be amazing :(
@@Truffle1947 Good to know because I use iPhone 13 pro but Im considering the ZV! because my videos focus exclusively on product shots. I'm just not sure if thats an upgrade from iPhone or not
There's not much for me to put besides I'd really like the ZV-1F. Based on this one video though there's a lot to learn about cameras that I haven't learned using only iPhone cameras. That's all I've ever really had
Mine arrived on Tuesday. Great camera. Good BOKEH. ( Depth of field blurry background ) I mounted it on an L shaped camera bracket. Attached the mic to the top of the grip. The tripod mount is out of the way of the battery and SD door. Filter size is 40.5 mm.
Here in France, the ZV1 is $700 and the ZV1F is $650, so there’s not much of a cash savings to give up ZV1 features for the ZV1F. No RAW and no optical stabilization on the ZV1F will make a difference for some people. Having a touch screen menu on the ZV1F is kind of a big whoop who cares non-feature for me. I understand the niche for the ZV1F, but for a $50 difference I would buy the original ZV1.
I really wanted the ZV1F. I love the 20mm lens. I don't need a zoom. The deal breaker for me is the less reliable contrast auto focus instead of phase auto focus. So I'll be getting the ZV1 Mark II even though I don't need the zoom because I need the 18mm. I won't go higher than 20mm. If only the ZV1F had phase auto focus I'd get it in a heartbeat for only $500.
As much as I do like the wider lens, I don't like the contrast based auto focus as I saw it hunt a few times in your video. I'll stick to my trusty ZV-1
I use camera for food shooting in kitchen. Should i use Sony ZV1F or ZV1. Because I wondering that 1F cannot zoom good enough and inconvenient to move. Moreover, f2.0 seem not to be good??
It would help if you mentioned the weird jello effect caused by the rolling shutter. And it doesn't have stabilization. Only software stabilization, which is a trash
I'm trying to do research for my boyfriend, as he is traveling and will need footage for content creation. He is a journalist, not really into cameras but this time he has to go by himself. I was thinking ZV-1F is the ideal camera for his situation because he doesn't know how to control ND internally (or any other settings as us photographers do lol). Is the ND external filter on the ZV-1F easier to use manually than the one ZV-1 has included? What do you recommend? Do you think auto focus on ZV-1 is a dealbraker for travel content?
I wouldn’t go with the ZV-1F. No stabilization will make his footage shaky. I prefer the internal ND of the ZV-1, and don’t think autofocus is a deal breaker. In fact, good AF from the ZV-1 is a huge advantage for travel! I’d go with either the ZV-1 or the ZV-1 II. Hope this helps!
Is it just me or is an external NF filter better? I'm a complete noob when it comes to photography but watching this the external seems like a better option?
Given the ZV-1F fixed focal length is it too wide for top-down use for desktop view type content? I want to keep it out of frame for the talking head shots of course. Just wondering how far above the desk surface the ZV-1F needs to mount with the frame not being too wide but still out of frame for say a 24mm FF equivalent front-view shot. 🤔

Hey Sidney just wanted your genuine opinion Do you think buying a mirrorless camera for vlogging is worth it compared to an iPhone 14 pro max etc? For like I really wanna get the new Fx30 with 10-20 for vlogging and an 18-50 sigma lens and the sony ECM b10 with DJI mic and maybe the crane 3 gimbal for my future work but the thing is I can easily get an iPhone and the Osmo 6 with a DJI mic and get vlogging and good pro shots with that Please tell me !!!!!!!!!
