Sheesh, I have so much to learn. A lot of you guys on youtube have more cinematography skill showing in -3min vlogs than I've seen in entire Netflix films.

It shows what can be done with what many consider to be a budget camera and some quality audio and visual editing. Also, I love the way this clip (0:53) sublty transitions between warm and cold between the light and dark scenes.

Very strong Boards of Canada vibe to this. I lived in Canada from 1999 - 2009. Ottawa, then Horseshoe Valley N of Toronto & Barrie on the edge of Muskoka. And whilst I have zero reason to ever move back there now, those ten years represent some of the best years of my life... and one of the worst. I loved a woman there, made many good friends there. Adventured there, built a house there, fathered a daughter there and sadly I buried her there. But when I think back to my time in Canada, my memories always have a dreamy Helios 44-2 bokeh to them... and the more time that passes, the more they all merge into one long gloriously hazy dream. A more than welcome spring (hated winter lol) with a black capped Chickadee singing his heart out. Those long hot summers and finally the kaleidoscope of vibrantly beautiful colours every fall that was filled with long drives from Horseshoe north to Huntsville, Algonquin and beyond. And watching your little compilation here felt like a familiar walk down memory lane... even the bloody ping of a good hit on a golf ball sounds different in Canada. These days I live between the UK, Exuma Bahamas and Denmark (home of my partner) with ironically, regular RV drives to Northern Sweden. But my mind always drifts back to my ten years in the colonies. Silly really, anyway thank you. Love your work.
