You did a great job showing off the differences in the review Jason. I had an A7iii for the longest time but picked up a ZVE1, and it's fantastic for RU-vid! They took the FX3/A&SIII sensor and placed it into a smaller package for a better price. The stabilization, 10-bit color, S-Cinetone shooting, and impressive low-light performance make it a strong contender. If I were between the ZV-E10II or the ZV-E1, I would recommend springing the extra cash for the E1
THANK YOU for making this video!! I’ve been trying to decide between the two for the past couple of weeks. I did decide to go with the zv-e1. I was initially worried about it having only 12mp but from what I’ve researched 12mp should be fine for what I need to do.
I shoot stills, something I've been doing for decades. I like prints, I almost don't care about videos. I have the A7R3, a really great camera, the a6700 which I feel is the best camera ever made and the ZV-E1. Not expecting much but looking for the fun factor, I was blown away by that camera. It's wild. It's fast, it's focusing is super quick. It really is an amazing camera. Too many previewers of this camera did not do it justice. Picking up that camera, using it at a family gathering I was amazed. Like the a6700, it has a really big wow factor. The focusing is amazingly fast, especially since it has the same A.I. chip my a6700 and the A7R5 (don't own one) has. This camera is really going to get me making videos. Hate to push a more expensive camera, but sometimes the extra money spent is well worth it. Not to belittle the ZV-E10, I have the MK. 1 version and can attest that it is an incredible camera, and it has a mechanical shutter making it a worthy still/video camera. BTW, I am an owner of the Nikon F2A I bought in 1979. That camera has a real wow factor. These new cameras have a double WOW factor.
Thank you very much for all your reviews on the ZV-E10ii. I just bought the ZV-E1 and I'm not seeing much difference in image quality yet compared to my A7Cii.Thinking of sending the ZV-E1 back and getting the ZV-E10ii because of it's size. I have the A6400 and several APSC lenses. Your videos are helping with this decision.
You won’t notice much difference between the a7cii and zv-e1. If anything the ac7ii has more dynamic range than it. Same sensor as the a7iv which is really like
@@JasonMorrisphotocinema Thank you very much for your reply. Think I will send back the ZV-e1, I am not that thrilled with that camera I think I will be happy with the ZV-E10ii or maybe the FX30. Thank you for all the work you put in.
Passed on the E1 bc I knew the E102 would eventually be all the camera I need. I’m even tempted to wait for the next ZV1M3. I bet that will be the ultimate vlogging camera.
Hi there ! Thank you a lot for the video ! What would you recommend for my situation… I would like to shoot teacher giving e-learning course (so, mainly static plan but I like the idea that the camera track the subjects during exercices demonstrations etc, because I film myself) and the IA chip seems so good about tracking, etc… Do you think E1 is worth to buy (because it’s a large difference in terms of pricing) and if so… which lens would you recommend ?
I don't know if you're just really good at backward walking, or that ZV-E102's new estab is pretty amazing. I'm starting to wonder if it's using similar tech as the dynamic active in the ZV-E1, just without ibis to back it up.
I'm so confused when it comes to cameras. I'm currently creating lifestyle content for mature women using the Canon G7X. I love the simplicity of the camera, but I hate that it doesn't have a mic output. My videos need an upgrade, and I'm finding that inconsistent lighting is an issue. Since I'm mature, I'd love a camera with a softening filter. Do you have any recommendations? I don't want to have to upgrade again in two to three years, and I'd love to support your channel with a purchase.
I from Brasil and I bought the ZV-E1 two weeks ago. I create reels, and my previous camera was the ZV-E10. When I saw the Mark II, I was surprised, but I think I made the right choice…
pode ter certeza, essa merda vai chegar aqui a NO MINIMO uns 9k, sendo que a 6700 é consideravelmente melhor e custa 10.2 e a top de linha fx30 por 12k, essa mark II foi cagada total até para os gringos hauhau
Does the zve10ii have better active stabilization? Because my fx30 is a little bit jittery than this zve10ii footage. Considering im using sony lens with ois on my fx30.
I’m having this issue with my zve1 where whenever I film at the dual native iso of 640 or 12,800 I still get a ton of grain. Do you know why this could be happening?
Hey, I was looking at your LUTs and was wondering why they can't be used for in-camera monitoring? Can they not be applied in-camera or is it just that they are not designed to be used in that way?
ZV-E10 was August 2021. ZV-E10 II was July 2024. ZV-E1 was May 2023 and the 120 FPS firmware update was July 2023 (remember those engineers were not working on a new camera they were working on an update). I return to the states in October and will pick up a ZV-E1. I am not even worried about a ZV-E1 II.
If it were to come it will arrive maybe 2026. So you have more time to make full use of the camera and save till zv-e1ii if it will come. Since a lot of people returning zv-e1 due to over heating issues for sure sony might not release mark ii
Aswell being half the price.. im torn between the zv-e1 and the a7iv (prioritizing photography over videography) and the zv e10ii seems like the perfect middle ground
I’m actually looking at the zve10 ii as a b cam for my fx30. I will definitely get an fx3 or fx6 in the future but owning an fx30 already the zve1 sounds like an odd choice for me. But maybe I’m missing something?
my bro, always thank you for your review much helpful. Justa a quick question , why would you go if only 1 lens: Sony 14mm, sigma 24-70 mii o Sony 16-35mm ii, I work a lot of comercial productions mostly ,
I love a camera porn video!! Great comparison Jason. I think Sony have made a big mistake with the price point. The original ZVE1 you could get for just over $600 with the kit lens on Amazon Prime day which was a steal. I know they've added 10 bit and a few other additions but IMO that's not worth a $400 price hike. It's too close to the FX30 now which is a much better buy. LOVE the ZVE1 though
I think both should be ok, maybe with crop lens you can choose to shot with the full frame or cropped mode. On full frame sometimes a crop in post can help. I remember when I was filming with an Nikon D750 1080p i've tried one night shot with an 11-16mm crop lens on 11mm and the vignette didn't bother because it was a dark environment with only a subject in center. On that lens I could use 15-16mm FF mode without vignetting.
