I was only 12 years old back in December 1991 when this was out, first heard this on an album called Heavenly Hardcore in July 1993 while holidaying in Devon (over a year after it came out and a month before I turned 14) and soon became hooked on this very tune! Thus massively played by the late Stu Allan on Key 103 back in the day! Timeless classic IMHO! 💖💖💖💖💖
Life in the rave scene was incredible, when non-ravers ask how it was back then, I truly struggle to find the words to describe it. Raving was a lifestyle, the build up to the weekends, the trekking around London Oxford Street 'Mash' Camden 'Rocket' to buy tickets. Soho BlkMkt Records for Vinyl, the meet ups at your mates to mix tunze.. The comedown sessions and feeling like crap, already for the next weekend. I done from 92 to 98 buy then the scene was changing dramatically, and I went to my final rave 'World Dance' Wembley Conference Centre where my mind was made up raving for me had come to an end after 6 years! Gutted!
You just described my teenage years! I still rave because I love the music (moved on to Jungle and DnB), but it's hard to describe the 90's vibe to headz who weren't there!

I almost feel like wanting to cry listening to this now. There was countless tracks of this era that I was into as a young kid but if I had to pick just one to define that time it would be this one.

That's because outdoor raves were cold. I think people are overthinking this. If you think there weren't any girls in skimpy outfits, tattoos or fights back in the day then the drugs have very obviously screwed up your memory. Also by moaning about 'kids today' and all that you've become the people you went to raves to get away from. Congratulations folks, youve become your parents.

Old skool has been back for a while mate, the nights, old skool mixes that you see online is unreal.. Been to a few nights the last 7 years and there's been some belters.. It's been good to go back but the body can't hack it anymore lol....
Danny Breaks is one of those musical geniuses of EDM. To this day he produces top-notch stuff. According to what they say, he was 19 years old at the time and was responsible for the scratches in this tune.
Funny that eh , in this day of diversity and inclusion …….nice words but I would say society is more divided and less happy now then we was back then . I miss those care free happy days of good music and good people . Its turned into a crazy world sadly .

This tune is responsible for the spirit crushing tinitus I suffer almost constantly from, and yes it's all my fault for dancing in front of 8' high speakers in the gallery in leeds about 25 years ago. I am now 46 and still love this tune .
What a tune, it sends old skool tingles up my spine. All we ever did was as teenagers was listen to hardcore 'n jungle, go to raves, pop pills and smoke soapbar. Mild in comparison to the teenagers these days.

We were happy, and not solely down to drugs. Mainly down to this and so many other tunes and a social cohesion the UK has not felt for such a long time. No-one was bothered by the colour of skin. We just looked out for each other.
scott davies Key 103 on a weekend as we were getting ready to go raving and then at Bowlers as resident DJ. Life @Bowlers was definitely one of the best times.
This takes me back to 1991, I was 11 and my older brothers were into dance music. One of my brothers had a dance tape his friend had made for him and I remember taking it on a school trip to Jarrow and listening to this song all the way there and back until the batteries died on my cassette player. 🙈 I was surprised to see the writers on the credits goes to Blur though, when Sonz of a Loop Da Loop Era was Danny Breaks…
