They're the 96z or 96 line of SEVENTEEN, those who are born in the year 1996. Their stage outfit for Light A Flame was similar to what Woozi was wearing. I really love this song and choreography! So glad you're back, Don! I missed your SEVENTEEN reactions! (And oh have you heard that Woozi will be releasing his solo mixtape on the 3rd? That'll be ❤🔥!)
Seventeen always emphasize in their songs and choreo the fluidity of gender. They rarely use pronouns and are comfortable to dance both with Man and Woman. They are probably one of the most professional groups out there. I love it 🥺🥺
The number of times you went speechless😅 Now imagine how all hell break loose when LIGHT A FLAME's performance was first revealed on IN-COMPLETE an online concert on January (the choreo video was released on February). They gave us a heart attack. You can watch that live stage. They're wearing the fit Woozi has in here but the dress shirts are in white & flesh instead. Rolled up sleeves with wristwatch.
yes i wish you could watch that performance on your free time! if this choreo practice video got you speechless, then that actual performance might blow your mind. the outfits add more sexiness, and also the zoom ins where you can see their faces. ughhh ♨️🥵 Might I also recommend you watch Fast Pace (especially the Power of Love concerts version). Unfortunately, there’s no official choreo video posted, so maybe you could just enjoy it on your free time. Light A Flame is chemistry with their male dancers, while Fast Pace is chemistry with female dancers. (If you do end up watching it, hope you could still share to us your comments even if you don’t capture your live reaction on a video like this with the youtube window. Idk 😅 we just love knowing what you think about the pieces you watch.)
This whole performance is just so tastefully sensual, they absolutely kill it. There's a slowness and patience in the moves that gives you this feeling of tension and anticipation that makes moves like the bass chest pop in the chorus hit even harder. Also I'm pretty sure this was choreographed by Hoshi and maybe Yoon Hyelim (their creative director I talked about) ?
Yeah woozi is the most multitalented performer. he was even initially allowed to choose between a vocal unit or a performance unit, but he preferred to take part in a vocal unit, of course cz he really likes music.
If I remember correctly, there was an interview with Hoshi where he mentioned something about embracing bothe the feminine and masculine elements of dance, basically just like you said, embracing the sensuality of a dance that's why I think he really performs well with this genre as well as the rest of Seventeen. There's a song called Fast Pace by Seventeen and it has the same feels with this one. Maybe you could check it out on your own time since the performance videos might get blocked or taken down hehe. ALSO!!! WOOZI WILL RELEASE A SOLO ON JANUARY 3!!!! Basically a week from now. It's title is "Ruby" and I have a feeling it might be along the lines of Light A Flame, but regardless I'm looking forward to your reaction~
Woozi should absolutely be brought up in the kpop ace conversation more often. amazing singer and producer, would probably be at least a lead dancer in many other groups, has amazing stage presence and he can even lowkey rap even though he doesn't do it super often!
seventeen really show that there is no gender in performance...like they dancing in sensual theme with male dancer or hoshi dancing into GIRLcrush concept..yup girlcrush, he purposely work with female choreographer for 'Touch' also whenever they do Girl Group concept, instead of keeping the original they arraged it n make it like its their song, like u really cant tell it was girlgroup song... (some of seventeen cover : mamamoo egotistic, red velvet ice cream cake, mamamoo decalcomanie) i really really respect seventeen for that
woahh woah I just came from Emeroy Bernardo's reaction to this dance and now you too... professional dancers now noticing b-side choreos and I'm all for it
While your eyes fix on Woozi, mine are on Jun the tallest one.. his move for me just like a knife. Brings me back their performance in In-Complete conc, wearing white and black
When I first listened to the song this was not the choreo I was expecting. I love how each move is absolutely subtle but so sensual at the same time, fits the song perfectly.
Thanks for the ride Don! Though I'm sure it will not end sooner or later as Seventeen is still producing great music as well as collaborating to make choreographies, and you also make great content and reaction videos! Now if you may, I'm binging your svt playlist once again
thank you for this seventeen journey Don!! it's been so much fun!! I've been a carat since 2015 and yet I've learn so much about their performances thanks to you!
It’s too bad you can’t react to some of their unofficial concert/stage performances floating around RU-vid. (GDA stage, Pretty U-Just Do It medley in Ode To You concert, Clap Ode To You, are just some of my favorites at the top of my head.) Hope you can get to enjoy them in your own time. After Hitori Ja Nai, perhaps you could watch The8’s other dance videos or Dino’s other danceologies? Random idea but maybe it will be interesting to watch their predebut dance vids like this, and see how much they’ve improved from teeny tiny middle school/high school kids to their current adult skills: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xeHc4U1Sq-A.html the “4 Minutes” (JT) and “Yeah” (Chris Brown) performance at the start, and maybe “I Get In” at 17:04-19:10 *You’ll notice a little kid there. That’s now-soloist Samuel, trainee who didn’t get to debut with Seventeen as he was too young then. **Not sure about this but I think Hoshi might have choreographed most if not all of these dances (except for the kpop covers), someone correct me if not. Hoshi and Woozi led the dance practices of all the male trainees predebut after all.
Haha “I hate this group” comment of the year! I find myself thinking that sometimes too. How can Seventeen be so good at everything, so talented, so enjoyable and still manage to surprise me with new things?! Just in case there are any people in need of translations, as figures of speech can go over our heads sometimes, “I hate this group” means: “They’re unbelievably too good/too talented. (I love them so much.)”
i love watching your reactions to seventeen!! you should check out hoshi's unreleased solo in 2018, it's called touch. the dance itself is pretty androgynous and he wants to potray how there should be no limit on how someone should dance (limit being man have to dance masculine etc). here's one of the fancam that shows a full body shot ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BvIj9ekBizk.html
What happened??? Why u stop reacting to ateez?! Did u check eternal sunshine!!???? And they made comeback w/ turbulence and the real ^^ I hope u read my comment?!!
