Across the Springwood Estate between Rakwana and Deniyaya is a beautiful secluded road with 10 elbow bends in the middle of a tall Russa tree known as the Little Eighteen Bend among the waterfalls. This road is also known as the Rakwana-Deniyaya road and at the top of the road, 800 feet above sea level, Sooriyakanda is another beautiful village.
Sooriyakanda and that road on motorcycles an oasis of lovers and youth. This mountain range has a beautiful view of the wet zone environment covered with frequent dew drops. However, Sooriyakanda, which was involved in a large number of murders believed to have been committed by Jepsen in 1994, is still considered by some to be a desolate place where the voices of silent souls are heard and those ghosts appear as ghosts at night.
