You two have such a special bond, it’s really lovely and more than being twins kind of bond. I went round to my auntie and uncles one day and my auntie was tidying her cutlery drawers………she had chosen lovely things for me, all in silver, bone handled knives, tiny tea spoons but my favourites were a set of proper soup spoons, I keep them polished and won’t eat soup without them. She died not too long after this, but I remember that day every time I open my drawer……….it hurts you now but one day you will look at the things and smile, I promise. Lots of love to you and Soozxx

I believe it gave her a sense of something she could control, at a time that her health was out of her control. You are blessed to have such a special relationship with her. Really got to me when you showed the palettes seeing where Sooz had used them & she no longer wants them 😢 my exes mum had breast cancer & she was a lovely lady. I tried to support her as much as I could through her treatment. She would confide in me with her worries & anxieties. She wanted my opinion on a wig she had bought incase she lost her hair. I was the first person she showed me the wig. When she knew she was dying she organised her funeral etc. One day she wanted to talk to me. We had this little chat & I realised she wanted to tell me things & so I told her she was like a 2nd mum to me. It was very hard for me to believe that it was happening. It was very surreal. She had a bag a clothes for me & I was shocked. I said I can't have these basically I meant in my head your still alive. She firmly said I want you to have them. She had chosen them perfectly for me. She gave me a woollen waistcoat & I wore it the next time I saw her just to show her that I really appreciated her gifts. She even gave me a gift bag of goodies for Easter. She had thought of everything. I was so focussed on her being poorly & worried about her that I felt embarrassed that I hadn't got her anything. I look back now & realise she wanted to still make decisions & have some control. She had carefully chosen things for all her friends. Receiving those clothes & gifts from her was a real honour & precious to me. It helped me deal with losing her. I know it's really difficult for you Emma & worse for you as you have a special bond with your sister. I wish I could take the pain away from you both physically & emotionally. You are both strong ladies. Sending you both love & hugs at this difficult time. Thank you Emma for sharing this personal journey with us. ❤

It's easy for us to sit on this end and tell you how it will be, but I think alot of support here from alot of brave people that have been through this. After my daughter in love was killed in a car accident, my son had to go to her place of work and pick up her things. He gave me her small desk calendar and a tube of lotion she used. I lost my only brother in 2014, my daughter’s father in 2019, and my mother in 2020. I redone my mother’s room ( in my home) she lived me the last 8 yrs of her life. I have all of her clothes still in the closet. From time to time, I just open the closet doors and hug them all. You never get over it. I could tell you personal things about my mother’s transition but, I don’t know if I should. It was traumatic for me. It took God to give me peace. Her bedroom walls are painted a soft very light pink, just as she wanted. I’m so sorry that you’re having to go through this, I know how incredibly painful it is.
