Sophia Loren is the one major Italian star who defined Hollywood in the 50s and 60s with her beauty and charisma. Her most famous leading partners were Cary Grant and Marcello Mastroianni. The movies in this video include: Too Bad She's Bad, The Pride and the Passion, The Key, Houseboat, Heller in Pink Tights, The Millionairess, Two Women, Yesterday Today and Tomorrow, The Fall of the Roman Empire, and A Countess from Hong Kong.
I thank my friend Claudia who made some of the clips for this video. The two main songs are Smoke Gets In Your Eyes by The Platters and A Chi sung by Fausto Leali.

I remembered this wonderful video time ago and seeing it again transmits great emotions! We all know Sophia for her strong character and her fantastic body. In Italy together with Lollobrigida, Mangano, Bosè and Pampanini was defined "La Maggiorata". Doug, I'm glad you have highlighted another wonderful aspect of Sophia: "The eyes". Loving tribute!!

If you say so, however you need the bones in all the right places to off set it in the first place. If it was just makeup and photography she wouldnt considered universally appealing.

Bisturi e lenti a contatto di vario colore a seconda dei film : ecco cos'è la Scicolone. Nei film italiani in bianco e nero si notavano due occhi piccoli e scuri.
