I’ve played this piece a number of times (mostly just practicing by myself). Now I know what it should sound like-what-a lovely melody, played with such a beautiful tone. Beautiful organ accompaniment (instead of piano). Thank you for putting this gem on RU-vid.
Legit the coolest thing I’ve heard. The organ ?! I’m learning this piece for juries, didn’t realize the impact it could possibly have with an organ. Just invoked such a stronger feeling, so cool
Very sensitive and free as always, Sophie! The piano reduction fits the organ reasonably well, most of the time. A real revelation to me, however, was the arrangement for bassoon and strings, made by Martin Gatt as recently as 2017! It allows the bassoon to stand out and blend together as well. And a real joy to play for all.
